  1. Yeah, amazing what happens when you're up against the gauntlet of defenses like, checks notes, Tennessee & LSU. The guy is good enough for a Bama team that only needs good enough to win most games. If he wasn't an elite runner he wouldn't be a QB. Oh, well this settles it then. There's no way those stats aren't comprehensive & show the complete, unadulterated picture of how good a QB is.
  2. Milroe's running is a necessity because he's a liability throwing the ball into a secondary that is inviting him to throw. His running ability changes everything about the Bama offense & what a defense has the ability to do. His passing numbers are still pretty meh, if not downright bad. He's being asked to throw the ball 22-25 times a game, complete 60% of them, & not throw any INTs. He's surpassed 250 yards twice (us & a&m) & even counting MTSU has a 13/5 TD/INT ratio for the year. If it wasn't for the fact that he's a thoroughbred while running & can hit the occasional deep ball he'd have changed positions by now. MM can't do that. He won't even take the 5-6 yards staring him in the face when everyone is covered. When there's no threat of a QB run the defense has a lot more flexibility in blitzing & coverage & the QB has to be a lot quicker in his reads, make the correct read more often, & be very accurate when he pulls the trigger. MM struggles with ALL of that & that fact won't change anytime soon so unless he starts picking up some first downs with his legs when the defense gives it to him he's going to have a hard time being successful. As for Milroe, when Bama plays a decent defense again (UGA?) I expect Milroe's performance to mirror what he did against us which was good enough to get him benched the next game.
  3. Urban Meyer is a college football HOF coach that may come back to a blue blood or blue blood-lite that's ready to win a NC in the next 2-3 years. Honestly, after the NFL debacle, I'm not sure he's got the interest to come back at all, but he's not coming back to spend his time rebuilding a dumpster fire in fucking college station.
  4. Well, there you go. If all it takes is running zone to wreck our offense w/ MM then we're fucked unless Ewers really is available this week. I just don't see Sark pulling MM until it's too late.
  5. MM looked like a completely different QB after that first interception. I don't know if KSU changed something on the defensive side to help contribute to that but he looked serviceable until that first INT & then he looked like complete garbage afterwards.
  6. Just for the record I hated everything about that call right until he Baxter broke it.
  7. fucking redzone & penalties
  8. MM looks accurate & in rhythm. If that holds & we're able to field 11 healthy players for the duration of the game I like our chances.
  9. Wait, so @closetojumping actually has a man bun? I thought that was a joke!
  10. @Thatguy sounds like you're only one drunk wife away from a threesome.
  11. The first one looks like someone/multiple someones weren't on the same page. As you said it looks like Worthy is looking for someone to block like the TE is supposed to be leaking into the flat but never does. Was it fucked from the beginning & MM didn't realize it? I feel like we would have called TO if we weren't lined up correctly so it doesn't seem like that's it. On Rewind he said it was a miscommunication but you're right in the it was fucked from the snap with what the defense ran vs. what we ran. Sometimes that happens. Maybe QE sees that front & checks to a different play or calls TO. The second play was a great call & the defense responded exactly how you'd hope they would but Brooks didn't attack his block & MM drifted outside of the hash. Stay inside the hash while giving the hard play fake & X is racing a LB to the pylon. Looking at the replay he didn't even need to carry out the fake as much as he did because the defense bit the moment he showed the ball. The defender covering X was sold on the reverse, the S was occupied with the post, the DE sucked in enough to not impede the throw, & the LB got mixed up with the CB trying to track down X. X would have had an entire field to beat the LB & recovering CB to the pylon. It was the perfect play in the redzone & one defender beat 2 blockers while the QB turned right into him. Blaming Sark for any bit of that play is absurd.
  12. KSU: 31 UT: 24 KSU punting: 230 yards I have a bad feeling for the first time all year primarily due to our lack of RZ success & it being MM second start. Please let me be wrong.
  13. Is your argument that you haven't seen these EXACT plays out of these EXACT formations? If so, I'd say that a lot of that depends on defensive tendencies & offensive strengths.
  14. I went to find these incredible plays and saw mostly the same plays I see us run only executed better. Not sure if that was the point or not, but it is fun to watch his plays be executed to near perfection.
  15. Personally wealthy so you don't have to pay him too much - check OL experience - check by all accounts a meathead - check history as a head coach - check abrasive personality - check and to put the cherry on top of this: played for Jackie Sherrill at Pitt!! This guy sounds like a lock to replace Addazio at the end of the season
  16. The ball went right through his fucking hands and hit his chest. You can show all the angles you want of the DBs hand being by his chest but if he catches it with his hands like AD typically does then it's a TD. If MM throws it sooner then X doesn't have to slow down & the DB doesn't have time to catch up and it's a TD. Great route & separation with shit to show for it because apparently he though he was catching a beach ball instead of a football. Great throw but it was late and allowed for the attempted catch to be contested. Also, could have been called offensive PI. X didn't have the greatest of days as a WR, MM didn't have a great day (but certainly passable for his first start), goal line offense had a miserable game, & we still won by 29. Clean it up, even just a little bit, & KSU won't be an issue.
  17. The argument of "he shouldn't have set his feet" is coming from what Herbstreit said on the broadcast after they came back from commercial break. You're arguing with someone who would have apparently preferred that QE throw over the middle into a small window with his right foot in front of his left foot & who would have criticized that throw when it was way off instead of hitting his TE in the hands. His TE that slowed down on the route and drifted (notice the hop skip at the 6) while QE was throwing & then proceeded to not catch the ball cleanly. It was a good play by the OU safety but it should have been a TD.
  18. 30-19 UT 24 for 250 yards
  19. "She did great" - lol, I'm sure Rick thought so as well
  20. Coming in second to the greatest QB of all time isn't too bad. Just like Vince!
  21. No shit. Anthony Richardson got drafted based 100000% on potential. The guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn last year but had a great combine & a strong arm so the Colts took him 4th. Not in the 4th round, 4th overall. Of course, it's highly likely Irsay was on a bender, but he was getting picked in the top half of the 1st round regardless. NFL teams are going to love that he's being coached by Sark, he's accurate, he's got a blazing fast release, & he's got a very strong arm. His biggest problem would likely be how loaded this QB draft class has a chance to be. Williams, Maye, Daniels, Travis, Penix, Sanders, McCarthy - lots of really good college QBs this year that could/should be in the draft.
