No I understood it perfectly, however you implied in your previous post the issue is Sark/play call when that wasn’t the issue as you just stated in your follow up post. Arch made the wrong read, he had the underneath route wide open. We have ran that play successfully multiple times over the past few years. One of the two routes are always open, the QB has to make the right read. And the read can’t just be made pre snap. Look deep, if the corner gets depth take the underneath.
This response makes no sense to me. Sark calls a route tree that schemes one of two WRs to be open. The post you responded to says the underneath route was wide open, yet you blame Sark because he can’t scream in his QBs ear during the play on where he should throw the ball?
I’m pretty sure I stated Sark didn’t call a perfect game and his struggles in the redzone are duly noted. That doesn’t excuse Mannings play. You can say Manning played good enough to have us in contention and others can say Sark called a good enough game, despite Mannings struggles to complete a forward pass to still have the team in contention to win. Regardless I don’t feel a need to pick sides, this shouldn’t become a Sark fanboys vs Manning fanboys argument. We’ve seen Manning play better, we’ve seen Sark call better games. I’m glad this happened in Game 1 and I have faith both will get their issues straightened for this season.
Maybe don’t ignore he was 17-30 and set a record for inaccuracy percentage and you’ll realize that was a below average game from Arch. He realizes it not sure why that is so hard for some of you.
Arch came out and said exactly what we all saw. He wasn’t good enough, and some of you will still come on here and deflect and try and lay blame elsewhere. Sark didn’t call a perfect game, but he called a good enough game for us to win even if the QB was average.
All this handwringing regarding the OL based on something Vogel said? I suspect this is much of nothing and Goosby will be out there come first snap of the season.
Not expecting the extreme opposite, more like not having to sift through mountains of useless drivel and dead horses being beaten to see if anything useful was posted. But maybe you guys get a chuckle out of this. I just can’t imagine what a life has to be like to find this shit amusing. But don’t mind me, it ain’t my board, carry the fuck on.
Damn near every thread on this board becomes unreadable because a bunch of unfunny fucks are constantly trying to score internet points with their corny fucking jokes/post. I wish some of you had better things to do in life besides amusing yourself by derailing threads with stupid fucking shit.
Our secondary performed pretty damn well against them last year against a more veteran QB. I doubt they brought in Akina to overhaul the secondary schemes anyway. Bigger concern is the individual talent of guys stepping up to replace Barron and Mukuba.
If our recruiting success was based on the stupid useless drivel posted in recruiting threads we would have the #1 class multiple years running and 25, 5 stars in each class.
I think a lot of people fail to realize CC was just the start of an influx of a different type of talent entering the WNBA. I think the entertainment factor of the league will continue to increase and it won’t be on the back of one single player.
I love the Portland logo.
I happened to stumble upon the state of Georgia recruit rankings and was surprised to see the majority of the top 10 going to a school other than Georgia. I know they recruit more nationally, as we do, which is why their is less emphasis on locking down the state these days, but still found it surprising.
I know people have various opinions on Kobe and it seems he is ranked anywhere from 1-12 depending on who is giving their opinion but Bleacher Report accepting someone's list that has him at 18 seems off. But Kobe's name seems popular these days for clicks so that might be the motivation.
I know Paige has already broken the 200 points 50 ast mark, and will/have probably break a few more. Also Fudd, JuJu, Miles etc will be coming to the league soon as well. The WNBA is going to have a talent infusion in the years to come.
Y’all seriously need to watch more teams/players. The number is a bit higher than 4 or 5. I love watching CC play and I love her style of play, but so far she has not transcended the league or the sport with her talent. I think she’ll end up a top ten womens basketball player of all time but the jury is still out if she is a MJ/Kobe/LBJ/Steph type or a Barkley/Westbrook/Harden/CP3 type. All of which are great players, but not all of them winners.
