  1. Win it all and no ring for Lane🤌
  2. I've yet to see evidence that God cares about anything more than football.
  3. Highly unlikely, but I'll be rooting for Ole Miss to stick it to Lane.
  4. Yeah. The narrative is that they weren't really trying, or something.
  5. So maybe our defense actually did hold the OSU offense in check, and they just didn't play anyone else with a pulse until now.
  6. I knew they were at/near the top. $35M is the number I've seen thrown around, whether true or not. But $30M appears to be the standard next season. Other programs, somehow someway, are finding the money. Will Texas stay ahead of the pack and increase its payroll even more? The 2026 OL/DL class makes me question that. You had to be willing to pay big money for those guys, even before rev share. Are they shifting more focus to the portal?
  7. No one is pulling his scholarship.
  8. For next season apparently. Then $50M. Then $75M... With no meaningful regulation, the endgame looks like Tech and Oregon running away from the pack. I'm guessing Texas will attempt to position itself in the upper echelon, assuming the BBs are in the box. But it no longer seems like they're leading the NIL charge. Whether that's because they aren't willing to bend the rules like everyone else, or the cigars are tired of Sark and holding back, or everyone else has just caught up... I don't know.
  9. Pretty sure they were saying the same thing about this year's class.. and last year's. There are elite OL every year in TX. Flood is either a terrible recruiter or we aren't keeping up with the market.
  10. I hope we actually try to win our bowl game. 10 wins should be the floor for the program.
  11. Strange. He took some time to adjust, but has been serviceable down the stretch. His last couple games in particular have been solid (yes I know Arky sucks). Unless they have someone lined up, seems like they'd want him back.

Similar trajectory to Sark. OC under Carroll, got a big job early on, left for USC and flamed out, and has rebuilt his reputation the last few years. I guess he was the top candidate this cycle, but highest paid coach in the country? Nah.
  13. Compare Texas and OSU's conference schedules. OSU can do whatever they want, but don't act like it's apples to apples.
  14. Really helped us against Florida.
  15. My take after today's results: We obviously aren't getting in. Should we? Yes. Is it egregious? No. The committee has told us all season what matters. Wins/losses trumps all. Can't really blame them; it's human nature. Now win the bowl game and schedule accordingly going forward.
  16. Why would the SEC/Big 10 agree to that? 2 G5? Dafuq?
  17. So would I. It's probably too late. But I'm confident we'll cancel ND, and we should. They should be blackballed until they join a conference.
  18. Sark will when we get left out, and his complaints will be heard.
  19. Play playoff games, have fun, get money. Who says we have to play New Mexico State? I'm fine with Cal/ASU/Colorado/Wisconsin/UNC/etc. No reason to schedule OSU with a 9 game SEC schedule, when the Big 12 plays nobody. We'll still have more big games every year than we've ever had.
  20. Wonder if the OSU/UM games can even be cancelled since we already played both on Fox. ABC/ESPN will want their cut. At the very least it would be expensive. ND needs to be canceled on Wednesday. Good riddance to those fuckers, they don't deserve any big games until they join a fucking conference.
  21. Miami isn't getting left out with their head-to-head win over ND. And they shouldn't TBH (ND should be left out--they've beaten no one). Both OU and Bama need to lose for Texas to have a chance.
  22. I don't think Sark looks forward to them (nor should he), and he'll definitely have a say. And I don't think CDC will like being in some meaningless bowl instead of the playoff.
  23. They don't seem to be committed to recruiting it.
  24. Both are 100% true. Beat Florida, we're in the playoff. Beat a cupcake instead of playing OSU, we're in the playoff. The difference is we can choose the latter.
