Sorry if already posted, but this is how one lawyer sees this playing out in an article he wrote 8 years ago. I think the variable here is Fox.
Myth of the Big 12's Grant of rights | FOX Sports
We are going to be the first that has signed a Grant of Rights though. So it is going to be different.
It seems adding teams muddies the waters on any losses claimed by the Conference if they want to play hard ball and not release the GOR.
Honestly, I can't believe that all of the 8 schools are going to vote to lock themselves to this conference by voting to expand. They will be asked to extend their GOR so they can negotiate the next TV contract. Why wouldn't you vote no and wait out your other conference options? It seems likely that even if you end up in an enlarged AAC, at least you don't have a GOR that attempts to tie your hands from moving to a better situation and you probably get a similar payout of TV money long term (post 2025).
In person I have heard people have enjoyed themselves. Here on the internet there appears to be lots of screaming at Longhorn fans; I assume they are trying to scream and horns down their way into being our rival.
Does this board do a deep dive into a different fringe religion every week, or exclusively Mormonism? When is Theosophy scheduled? I've been hoping to learn more.
its humorous when they talk about having 12 members not looking to leave. If they really think that Kansas hasn't called the B1G to say hi for each of the last 10 years, they are dumb.
Their poster about how awesome and close Kansas City is actually worked?
But, what about the impacts to Manhattan Kansas and Article 3.2 of the Bylaws?
There is some serious game ball diameter differences in these two images. can one of the experts explain why UT plays with a dodge ball and LSU uses a deflated volley ball?
I think that is true to you and I but I'm not sure if true to Pac-12 watchers. I'm not sure most West Coast football fans are very aware of Oklahoma State's football ability.
Also, the Pac-12 start times are obscenely late. I feel like the UT game at Cal ended after midnight California time. Look at all these late ass kickoff times.

How does it work to merge a conference that puts its marquee games on at 9AM PDT with a conference that likes to kickoff big games at 10:30 CDT? Can't put 'em in the middle of the day because that's when our conference plays.
why are these people asking Bowlsby what will happen in the future like he didn't expose his lack of ability to see what was going on in his own conference?
Austin finally made it on the list of leverage cities that teams use to get new deals with their current home town. Seattle (basketball), Portland (baseball), Las Vegas (baseball or basketball) and Austin (any sport but soccer). Congrats everyone!
