Sark always talks about he grades the game film by looking at effort first. I'm guessing that is also the primary factor for recruits, especially linemen that meet the baseline for Texas Good. Over the years, we've seen a lot of linemen who are high school great at the point of attack but rarely consider doing much pursuit or downfield blocking. They tend to have high rankings but it's not surprising when they don't do much in college.
West Coast guy just catching up to the end of this thread. I'll just note that 10-hour old baby giraffes can keep up with adult giraffes and reach a speed of 37 mph.
Hey recruits, we think of you as less than human and only drawn to aggy by the sweets we offer.
Uh, wait. That actually sounds like their recruiting and team-building strategy.
For Walter so loved aggy that he ventured forth into the muck and dreck of the portal to identify the pernicious, insidious, and blasphemous forces trying to shoot down The Elk--and to expose their godless ways so that the almighty Sully and the magic ring can smite them and ensure that only good bull may triumph in this profane world controlled by a horde of rapscallion tu heathens.
If he waits, he doesn’t have time to visit anywhere. Would anyone go play for a coach or school they hadn’t visited? It sucks, but it’s the right call for him. Hook ‘em MM! Go kick ass.
