  1. Just watched Blue Moon on Netflix. Really well done. Hawke nails it and Margaret Qualley is exactly what you'd imagine for that role. Other supporting roles are also excellent. Reminded me of My Dinner With Andre and I'm sure Linklater made some intentional references to that film as well as other films and plays I'm probably not cultured enough to recognize. The whole thing was more of a play than a movie (as we've come to know movies), with limited sets and lots of sharp dialogue. Well worth your time.
  2. Yes, horrible eyes. Would not bang.
  3. Played center and had a cup in the NFL with Seattle.
  4. I wasn't aware this guy was still alive, much less posting from several accounts on Surly.
  5. Can't he just claim he spent a year doing a Mormon mission or living with monks or seeking higher consciousness? No way the NCAA wants to deal with that religious stuff.
  6. Great win and an incredible season by Indiana. I think it's good for the sport. That said, the most difficult thing to replicate is a Heisman-winning QB. Similar to NBA teams trying to replicate Golden State, but none of them have Curry.
  7. I think Josh Johnson is the best going right now. Funny guy with sharp eye about politics and society and some of his long monologues are crazy good.
  8. Got on today looking forward to 4+ pages of exciting portal news. I even refrained from looking at the title of other threads hoping to catch up on new additions as the news broke in this thread. But no. Sadly, this is not the first time I have gone through this. I must admit hope springs eternal and I am Charlie Brown. But you, you're all malevolent little girls jerking the football away.
  9. Anyone know what Siani projects to in the NFL? Is he a tackle all the way?
  10. Should we carry 16 OL though? 16-18 was good roster management when 6-8 were freshmen or redshirts. However, it is clear we can no longer carry that number of developmental positions. They would cost too much and just get picked off by other teams. Given recent developments, 12 is not out of the question. That’s two-deep and a couple of young guys learning. That said, I’d like to have 13-14. Recruit 2-3 each year and portal the rest.
  11. All these guys who don't get picked up in the portal can still go to the school they are currently attending or some other one for a semester. They just won't be on scholarship and will need to pay their own way. It's not like there's a law prohibiting wayward portal players from going to school and banishing them to their mom's basement for five months.
  12. I played LT back in 1979 and still have all my college eligibility. I can probably put on about 40 lbs of good weight to go with my current 40 lbs of bad weight and am happy moving to guard and being depth for cheap. So, hit me up Sark!
  13. This reminds me of a famous internet photo. You know, the one with a smiling girl on a couch.
  14. Yep. One has to appreciate it is also a net positive for recruiting football players who like hot spinners.
  15. His listed 6’5” 330 looks legit on the highlights. I bet Flood still wants to eyeball him though.
