Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Linebacker play night and day from last year.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
If the team can sustain this level of effort and execution, we can win games even with this t-rex armed bum at QB

Quinn looked outrageous man... He's that dude. Need news on the injury

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Extremely helpful when you can hold on offense and mug receivers on defense.

Texas vs. #1 Alabama
Wishcasting good news on the Quinn injury so hard right now. Incredibly bright start to the season if he can play again.

We are going to need that same whistle they just got. Hold Anderson all day.

2022 Fall Camp: Drippin'
I don't really disagree with you, but the argument would be DTB and Jaylan Ford providing close to average P5 linebacker play would drastically improve the defense. We've talked about it ad nauseam on this board, but a lot of the issues with the linebackers stem from the abysmal defensive line. We absolutely do not have the talent in the LB room to cover for that level of play from the defensive line again this year.

2022 Fall Camp: Drippin'
It's really surprising to me that Hutson is ahead of Campbell. I liked Hutson's tape in HS, but thought Campbell was the superior athlete, by a decent margin. Wonder if being there for spring ball is that impactful?

Still too early to tell if JSN is better than Troy Omeire.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
No, but he's probably going to make more money than he would at most of the "academic" schools, barring ND and maybe Michigan. My point isn't about Vasek. For kids who are going to get a comms, kinesiology, or similar type of degree, I think it's ridiculous to say they'd go to UVA or UCLA if they made smart decisions.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Getting a random degree from one of the schools you listed is not a better decision than getting a massive bag/NIL deal from an SEC school.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
I'm certainly not advocating telling Duce to kick rocks so we can keep Shannon. But that high school has produced multiple Heisman trophy winners so I do think that our coaching staff being on good terms with Mater Dei is something to keep in mind. I don't think Duce would necessarily push Shannon out of the class anyways.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Aside from him being a potentially useful type of player, burning bridges at Mater Dei would not be good. They churn out multiple ~top 100 guys every year. They might be due for a new coaching staff soon, though...

Jimbo 2023: Watch.The.Tape.
There are only about 11 high schoolers graduating in 2023 who are a take for Jimbo Fisher. TBD on Anthony Hill, he's watching a lot of his film but unfortunately he might be bread.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Our only LB last year was 3 star Trevell Johnson. It's already substantially better this year with Burrell and Lefau and we'll probably end up with at least one of Gullette and Hill. Not going to dispute your larger point though.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Billy first question, can you please tell me why the t-sips are cheating and don't deserve this great recruiting class? Follow up question, can you explain how this great recruiting class will actually be bad for tu? I'll take my answer off the air.

He's going back and forth - has Anthony hill as high as #2 and as low as #41 depending on his decision

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
This is a nice example of how gracious and reasonable any fanbase in college football could be after a decade of top 2 recruiting classes and natties every other year (other than the aggies). There's no reason Bama football fans should be this pleasant.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
Unfortunately, I don't think the players and coaches are as concerned with the star rankings as we are.

NIL Recruiting News Megathread
This goes to the core of the collective Aggie psyche. It's not enough for them to believe that CS is a transcendent, magical place and that, all things equal, they would sign every one of the top 25 players every year. They need everyone else to believe it too.
