2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Napier/his DC stole the GEorgia game plan that gave Texas fits in pass protection. Texas has gotten away from their simple slide protections since. I am sure Kirby will have something for Flood this time around also. He is probably asking on how they were so successful running the football vs Texas

Probably an 80% chance they talked- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
The one thing about the Georgia offense is they do not really force anything (except some short passes to Branch). #2 receiver (Young) has 23 and # 10 (Bowens) has 10. They will spread it around to the open man. That said Texas has given up the following to the TE position the last 3 weeks: UK: 7 for 69 MSU: 7 for 73 Vandy: 8 for 169 That is 22 catches for 311 yards. 7.33 catches and 103.67 yards per game. I am pretty sure Bobo will make this part of the game plan, since he has a lot of talent there.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Given the play of the defense and secondary the last 3 games the defense maybe a bigger worry to me (though its impossible to predict either unit from week to week, so take it with a grain of salt). For all the shit Bobo gets, he is doing a great job. Georgia is #2 in OFEI in the nation (Vandy #1 after lighting up Auburn and Texas) This is a second half offense. Once they adjust to what you are doing, they will dissect you. Stocktons 1H vs 2H split This is a very efficient offense, but oddly they struggle to produce explosives. DB are going to have to be much better tackling. Branch is used in all kinds of screens and short passes. If he breaks a tackle, he is a threat to score. The last 3 games Texas has given up 70% completion, 8 TDs, and 1 int.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
How many times has Sark actually started a big game with a run? Game 1 vs Georgia: Play 1: 9 yard pass Play 2: 3 yard pass Play 3: 4 yard pass Play 4: 8 yard Wisner run Play 5: -1 pass Play 6; 2 yard run Play 7: incomplete Game 2: Play 1: 6 yard pass Play 2; incomplete Play 3: 22 yard pass Play 4: 19 yard pass He is almost always pass heavy early vs high quality competition. Play 5: sack Play 6; 2 yard run Play 7: interception Clearly pass first in the 2 Georgia games. Only annoying thing is the Sark habit of running on second and long vs Bama: Play 1: 11 yd pass Play 2: 2 yard Pass Play 3: 4 yard run Play 4: 11 yard run from Ewers (scramble from Pass play) Play 5: 2 yard run Play 6; incomplete Play 7: 2 yard run- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
apologize. I will use crayons for you next time- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Texas is 4th in SEC in turnovers gained (15, 3 are tied at 16). Georgia is tied for 5th in turnovers lost with 9. Defensive havoc in SEC Offensive Havoc (allowed) (Texas better than I thought here, Georgia is very good)- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Georgia is 12th in the SEC in redzone TD% allowed. Texas is 13th on offense. This is the moveable object against the resistible force. Georgia is tied with OU for last in turnovers caused in the SEC (Texas is 3rd in turnovers lost).- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
This has to be the game plan. Georgia is very good at preventing explosives SEC defensive explosivity They do play off and will leave short and intermediate routes open. Their drops will also leave room for Arch to scramble. Key is to be efficient.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Hopefully we dont find out and Texas goes 3-0, so this is just brain drain.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
Interesting response. Never said losing to Georgia would be make it more likely or that Texas should lay down. I just said IF Texas went 2-1, you want that big win over an undefeated A&M team. That is pretty much just logic and the way rankings. Losing late is never good.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
If Texas goes 2-1 in the next 3, the best path would be a close loss to Georgia and a win over an undefeated A&M team.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
I hope I am wrong, but Texas is not going to come out and run the ball on Georgia. The only scenario I see Texas running the ball would be something similar to the Bama upset in Tuscaloosa. Sark dials up a gameplan with a lot short passing that keeps the offense on the field early. Georgia has lost a few DL, so I am not sure how deep they are up front. If Texas can stay on the field, there is a chance later in the game they can get the run game going.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
This is obviously a pessimistic take, but I cannot say it does not have its merits. Texas is a 5.5 pt dog on the road. The volatility of Texas performances on both sides of the ball has been amazing this season. If both units play closer to their ceiling Texas has a legit chance to win this game. Either play anywhere near their floor and everyone here will be hammered by the 3q to numb themselves from the pain.- 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
I would not compare OU and Georgia. They are different defenses. OUs reliance on movement up front makes them uniquely vulnerable to OZ. The rushing stats the last few years is evidence of that. I think this is going to be a Sark game. His gameplans tends to have high volatility. When he dials it in Texas is very good early and we hold the remote with white knuckles late. Georgia has been a slow starting team all year. They average the least amount of pts in the 1Q (6 vs 10+ in 2/3Qs). They allow 7.4 pts (vs 5.1, 4.4, and 4.3 later). Getting an early lead in Georgia would be huge to take the crowd out. Sark needs to find those couple wrinkles early and score some quick pts.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Why the fuck would you visit Camden?- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
This is true, but do you think that is a high bar?- Texas vs. Vanderbilt - 11am on ABC
- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Georgia and OSU were elite. Good college players go in the 6th round all the time. That is only 1 of the tackles. The one you were talking about was dealing with knee issues, some think chronic knee issue was why he left early. Not surprising that he went 6th round. He did get a 72.6 pass vlocker grade and a 70.8 grade as a run blocker. He would be a welcomed addition to this OL.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Georgia defense might be one of the worst Kirby has put out there, but it is not a bad defense. Kirby went after Flood's pass pro concepts last year with great success (Florida mimicked it this year). We are using less slide protections since then, but we shall see. One thing people are not mentioning is the Georgia offense is #1 in OFEI.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
If you dont like PFF, then use the NFL draft. Majors is on a roster also (Eagles). So you think the OL sucks. PFF thought they were good and 4 of the 5 are on NFL rosters. Should we believe you or PFF and the NFL?- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
CAm Williams was injured at the end of the season. The OSU game was on the staff. Should have played Goosby over an injured Cam. Your opinion of "good" is ridiculous. Michigan 2023 was great. Texas OL finished top 5 in pass pro. They were very good in pass pro. Solid at outside zone, but once teams took that away the run game was over. That said the running game was 3rd in teh SEC in yards per attempt behind Bama and Auburn, who had mobile QBs, in conference play (no padded stats). Saying that was a bad OL is ridiculous. We are seeing what a bad OL looks like this year. Pretending this OL is anywhere near last year's OL is laughable.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Golden might not have started out the guy, but it came apparent he was the guy by mid-season. I dont think the WR are bad but Texas may not have a WR that is a top 10 WR in the conference.- Arch Manning: Scores every way possible
Texas does not have an obvious #1 WR. There is no Golden or Worthy on the roster. There isnt even a Mitchell on the roster currently. Hopefully, someone steps up and becomes that guy. - 2025 Week 12: Texas @ Georgia
