Star Wars - Ahsoka
I thought it would be hard to top last week's episode, but here we are. That's peak Filoni.

Ray Stevenson put in another great performance as Blackbeard. We lost him way too soon.

Absolutely. Embarrassing that VAR missed it after the ref missed it.- Spurs 2023-24: Let's Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie!
COYS!!!!- Star Wars - Ahsoka
I almost feel that Filoni's treatment of Dooku, especially in Tales of the Jedi, is similar to Anakin's treatment in CWs. They are both so much better in the Filoni-verse than portrayed in the prequels. Writing, voice acting, everything.- Star Wars - Ahsoka
Couldn't agree more. Filoni and Lanter really crafted the definitive Anakin character. Hayden's performance was measured, deliberate, and emotional. This was the character everyone expected in the prequels. I also think what we saw was the WBW, not a vision. But, we'll see what happens in the next few episodes.- Star Wars - Ahsoka
Agree with all of this. The conversation between Ahsoka and Anakin during last night's episode while on Mandalore is the exact same discussion she had with Rex on the bridge of the Venator after the Siege. Two people who were born of the Clone Wars. Ahsoka who was shaped from it through her childhood, and Rex who was quite literally created for the Clone Wars. Poignant scene, and underscores their relationship. Ahsoka really questioned what she had become and what she would become. Then, moments later, she sees what Anakin has become. The 501st wearing the orange helmets out of respect to Ahsoka was a nice touch to live action last night.- Star Wars - Ahsoka
End credits had an interesting note. It credited Temeura Morrison as Captain/Commander Rex. Consistent with the time jumps in the episode. Captain in the first flashback and Commander at the start of the Siege of Mandalore. Would love to see an older Rex with a white beard at some point in the series.- Star Wars - Ahsoka
Rebels epilogue shout out.- Star Wars - Ahsoka
Great episode. Hayden in a handful of minutes far surpassed his acting in the entire prequel trilogy. Siege of Mandalore?! Fuck yes! Even the music in that sequence was the same as the last 2 Clone Wars episodes. Can't wait until next week!!!- Star Wars - Ahsoka
I would like to see Rex make an appearance. Filoni utilized him so much in the Clone Wars and then in Rebels, I can't imagine he won't feature in live action. I could see him and Zeb both showing up together.- Spurs 2023-24: Let's Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie!
Those two moves needed to be made. Sad it didn't work out for Ndombele, but the EPL just isn't a fit for him. Sanchez started out well in 2017, but regressed quickly. Too bad, but his days were numbered here. I think January will be a busy transfer period for the club. Have to get a MF and Central Defender now, too thin there at the moment.- Special Ops: Lioness - now streaming on Paramount+
The strike will cause problems with season 2, but I'd like to see a second season. I thought it had a strong finish to the first season. Would be interesting to see the fallout from the finale.- Spurs 2023-24: Let's Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie!
I'll agree that Levy's support is a problem, but the managers were a problem too. The 18 months between Moura in Jan of 2018 and 2019's summer signings of Clarke/Ndombele/Lo Celso significantly set the club back. Poch was coming off a miraculous run to the UCL finals, dealing with aging players, malcontent players, and injuries when he got sacked. Not getting any players in those 18 months doomed Poch and the club. Then, Levy got wide-eyed at Mourinho being available and brought him in thinking it was a quick fix and that he could win with the current squad. Not having to spend anymore money appealed to Levy, and set in motion the events that led to some miserable futbol over the last 4 years. Jose, interim Ryan Mason, NES, Conte, interim Ryan Mason again. No real consistency, and we got away from our style of play. A churn of squad philosophy impeded any meaningful transfer business. You only have to look at Bissouma's performance under Conte and his performance under Ange to see that. Conte didn't know how to use Bissouma (who was also injured). We had squads that weren't congruent with their managers' style of play. Now, Bissouma is playing for a manager that gets him, and our midfield looks legit. Conte checked out less than a year after getting hired, Jose lost the team, and NES was never going to work out. All of that is on Levy, in addition to his unwillingness to spend.- Spurs 2023-24: Let's Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie!
This is Spurs' DNA, not parking the bus with Jose or NES or Conte. This is fun. Richy can stay on the bench. These front three are playing well together. Solomon has really impressed after a rough start. Hat trick!!!!- Spurs 2023-24: Let's Put Another Shrimp on the Barbie!
