These Go to 11 - The Guitar Amp Thread
NAD I am a full blown Astoria fanboy. I've got it bad. This is a limited edition Chicago Music Exchange Marshall Astoria Custom. Only a 100 were made. I have an Astoria Custom head and cab (it's the red one) already, but I couldn't pass up the chance to own a CME version. It's stylish as fuck and always made my pants tight, but near impossible to find. Side note, I bought a Fender Deluxe Reverb Custom, that hip silverface job with a combination blackface and updated custom circuits, from Guitar Center but had to return it when the CME Astoria came up. So, I was pretty close to finally getting my Deluxe Reverb. Some day soon. Or maybe not so soon.

The Great American Home Recording Setup (oh, and Keyboards) Thread
For anyone who've been going bonkers trying to decide what mic to get for a home studio, which was me since I started going down this dark road, Sweetwater currently has the Slate VMS ML-1 Vintage (linked below) and the ML-1 at $300 off right now with 48 months no interest financing. They're also throwing in the Classic Tubes 3 profile pack. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VRSML1-VE--slate-digital-vms-ml-1-vintage-edition If you can't decide on a mic, why not buy one mic and get them all, imo.

I would dig the hell out of Finn getting a section during a show.

What stops them from taking whatever was offered and signing elsewhere after all? It's not like anyone is going to repo a Trans Am after-the-fact or anything.

That Neptune looks like an fantastic deal, but they also put the Slate MVS Vintage on sale (and are throwing in the Classic Tubes 3 pack) and daddy needs to finally finish off the studio with a good vocal mic. These are the times that try men's souls.

Avid Eleven Rack for $199. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ElevenRackSP--avid-eleven-rack-special-edition-includes-pro-tools-first Even as an audio interface, that's a good deal. Add the modeling and the robust user driven profile community, and you're playing with house money.

Swung by the local Guitar Center because I like to keep it real. Apparently Blackie was moved from the Times Square location to the mothership on Sunset. Some other cool guitars are here on display, too. Frankenstrat is still here, but one of the Lucille's was added to the collection. Lucille, bruh. There are 4 wtf guitars that have made the largest impact in my life and 2 of them are here. Excelsior.

PRS is overwrought design and I've never been much of a fan, though I appreciate the craftsmanship otherwise. On the other end of the spectrum I've never been a big fan of Telecasters for the exact opposite reason, not enough. But Telecasters have a mountain of cultural importance and that alone overcomes their style deficiencies. I will own a Tele some day, but in no rush. PRS, on the other hand, is also the opposite in that regard (if the company had never been created and those guitars never produced the world of music would still be the same today) so I'm not as inclined to overlook their try-too-hard-edness. I'm a complicated person.
