I think you’re wrong. Jerry admits quite a few mistakes publicly. He has often said he failed to give Romo the supporting cast he needed to win a ring. He has said Chan Gailey and Campo were mistakes. That several of his free agent signings and trades were ill advised. Said firing Wade mid season was wrong and he hasn’t “fired” another coach since. He simply failed to give them a new contract. Jerry has his faults and some glaring but almost every player and coach loves working for him because he wants to win. That’s because unfortunately he’s not demanding of them, doesn’t hold them accountable, coddles the shit out of them, and doesn’t like demanding coaches that want to work the team in Wichita Falls in 103 heat vs soft SoCal.
Your bartender was likely a transplant from Sioux Falls and doesn’t personally like hot dogs , so he says shit like that to appear so cool and hip. Fuck that guy. Everyone I know from Chicago has their strong opinions on the best dogs, Italian beef, burgers, pizza but they all ate tons of it. I will say most highly leaned on thin tavern style pizza vs stuffed or deep dish. I gotta say I love dogs but in most joints I go with Maxwell St Polish or a combo Italian beef hot sweet half dip. And always tavern style pizza.
A lot of talk about consistency, which is the point I put the highest respect on pitmasters. I know my OG places Railhead and Davids will be the same every visit.
We Only talk about inconsistency when we get bad barbecue. It can work the opposite. Maybe I hit them on a perfect alignment of stars and they made a mostly good platter. I didn’t have brisket because we got the ribs.
I don’t have an issue with free peach cobbler and soft serve. It wasn’t my grandma’s level but most other places would serve the same canned peach cobbler with a scoop of listeria vanilla blue bell for 9 bucks.
he’s opening one near the moh museum in Arlington. If it’s the same as what I had I’ll stay with Hurtado.
Btw if you haven’t been to the moh museum it’s well worth it, and the best thing built with Jerry jones money. If you come in for the ou game add some time to go see it.
I didn’t pay that much attention as I wasn’t paying and I never get beef ribs. I asked the guy how much are the beef ribs and he said $37. “A half pound?” Yep. Their store menu is by half pound, the online is by the pound. Maybe that’s the confusion in store. I was a bit incredulous before I posted so I went back and looked. If you look at Hurtado’s menu he is at by the half pound, and lists beef ribs at $38.99, so I went with it.
But of course. I’m the guy that has the paper plate collapse on someone else’s head or lap. Chinet for safety.though they’ve gotten so expensive it’s cheaper to use the fiestaware
Uhh players negotiate guarantees in their contracts. When cut they get what they are contracted to get. Shitty players have shitty guarantees, and good ones have big guarantees. And stupid owners give crazy guarantees. Deshaun Watson has $230 mill 100% guarantee. Hasn’t played for shit since he signed it with Cleveland. Dak got $240 mill/$231 mil guaranteed contract. He can play like total shit or get a catastrophic career ending injury and he gets all the remaining guarantee. I guess you like it when a team gets stuck with a shitball contract. For the most part players love playing for Jerry.
Closing by choice. Owner has a wife and family now and it sounds like he’s burnt out on the grind. Hard work , low margins. Same story from the Heims and Derek Allen.
Roy Hutchins Bbq, Trophy Club. Beef rib, pork ribs, jalapeño cheddar sausage, pork belly burnt ends. The beef rib was $37 half lb so that was $110. Boss got one insisted I get one. I also took home three huge Twinkies which were great. The beef rib was awesomeness, but so rich my Ozempicized belly could only eat a bit. The burnt ends were great, sausage killer. Ribs were ok but I want them trimmed St Louis style or baby backs.
Bravo to you sir. I can imagine how great it smelled while you made those z.
what is your secret to peeling the peppers without them shredding themselves up?
I met Whitlock years ago in Memphis; he played at a dive bar we sometimes played at for $50 and beers. Would have been around 80. It was sad but man he could play. I spoke to him on a break and he really didn’t want to talk about the dominoes or Delaney Bonnie time.
If I recall correctly George Jones was on the run at the time in Memphis as well. He was sleeping in his Lincoln and playing for tips at the Wagon Wheel, a low rent country bar that never was part of the urban cowboy disco thing. Went and saw him a couple times, and he’d be parked there in the mornings when I drove to work. Shitty neighborhood. He was the cma artist of the year at the time.
No way the junior’s smokin hot wife lets him spend more than five minutes alone with that child. She doesn’t want the kid numbed by bicycle stories and whining about soccer.
I had a preseason pick of a 5-13 season but adjusted to 2-15.
for Schott talking accountability and effort look at all the starters and some rookies on the sidelines. Bullshit. Other teams like the Bengals have their frustrated superstar qb demanding starters play in preseason including himself. I think Dak was looking at granite samples for his new mansion during the game. CeeDee got a penalty not dressed out.
Eberflus. That weren’t no Doomsday. Swiss Cheese on Toast Defense. Milton has a peasized brain to go with that big arm. Vrabel had that with Levis in Nashville and runoft Milton to the first sucker he called.
This is the problem. Jerry has been throttled by Stephen. Stephen would have never signed Deion or Haley or TO. Jerry might have input on big deals but everything is managed by and thru Stephen. Grew up with Daddy losing the house on a bad hole in the ground and other shit; he is absolutely riskaphobic. We will have him another 20 years. At least.
two hopes after Jerry dies. 1. Charlotte is CEO and fires Stephen. 2. Kids say we’re tired of it and cash in for $15 billion.
They are roasting at Tom Thumb this weekend. You have to look up which ones. I I prefer poblanos over the Anaheim and roasting in the air fryer for 10-15 minutes is so easy.
