Margie's is taking goddamn forever. I'm hitting Don Melquias next week for lunch, will report back. I never even see anyone working on Margie’s and drive by there several times a week. This…heard he has something with some land in Parker County.
Excited to see what he can do for SMU with the resurgence of attention and donors. Academic rankings have slipped some and Turner has been there forever. It’s definitely nothing like Baylor…maybe the opposite. Don’t think I went in Perkins much except when some friends got married there later. Nice to have big time sports back on campus though.
Bryson City is a cool little town…much more authentic, quiet and prettier than the TN side of GSMNP. I used Fly Fishing the Smokies guide back in August 2021 and we had fun. The rivers were muddy due to rain, so we went creekin’ up in the park in small water. Had a blast catching small trout the size of your hand.
Good luck on your grades! They’re right that thicker cards are much harder to grader….soft corners are notorious. I’ve sent some nice thick patches and patch autos off to be slabbed to SGC (I feel they’re easier on the patches)…had some 10s, more 9s and a few 8s. If you want them slabbed, go for it…if you’re looking to flip or sell, it might be better to sell raw.
fattyflattie - can you share the boat name? Curious if we know them. Our boat was the Wahoo. BHYC A dock in Freeport and then took her to SPI and we fished all those tourneys. New here but have lurked forever on all the old sites. Dad was a silver spur way back when and then ran swift boats in Vietnam.
That brings up memories of offshore tournaments on our boat. Long days and short nights. Waking up at 3-4, leave the dock at 430 to clear the jetties at 5 to put lines in at 7 AM sharp. Lines out at 4-5 PM and hauling ass back in to wait in line at weigh station and fuel, then clean everything. Wouldn’t trade those memories though. When I was in HS / early college, we were “sponsored” by one of the beer distributors…snuck a few [emoji6]
