Still miss Golfsmith All Vendors Day the weekend before the Masters. As a leftie I got to try out all sorts of clubs from all the big vendors. Bought multiple clubs and sets from Golfsmith because of it.
Pretty sure they changed the law but in the 90's you could not buy cold beer in stores. Only room temperature. Guess they finally figured out that college students knew what ice was.
For the sailboat folks.. Saw these this morning during a bike ride. Replicas of Nina and Pinta. It is amazing how small these ships are. They apparently are on tour but I have no idea how they got on the Tennessee River and where they go next..
Is there some actual rule on how many runners are in the final? Saw this yesterday in womens 10K. 20 plus runners in the final is a huge recipe for multiple collisions and falls
For some reason it seems that the sound of the gun and the actual start are not in sync. Yesterday it absolutely looked like the 4x100 men and women were out of the blocks before you heard the gun. For some reason I think the false start is set up electronically and done visually. It has a preset value for a reaction time and is wired to the gun. If it registers you leaving before the specified reaction time it sounds the alarm
If I am the Italian coach I would consider a protest. That was a marginal block. I don't think it changes the result but the winner moved way outside lane 1 there
No kidding. Total brain cramp. Almost like a swimming relay person jumping into the pool after swimming with the race still going on. Situational awareness
About 30 years ago a diver (maybe Russian?) was killed after hitting head on platform. That platform is insanely high. Before all sorts of legal restrictions we would go to Point Mallard which was nearby and they had a platform. No way you didn;t go off it after climbing up there in front of your friends. For no apparent reason none of us ruptured a spleen or liver hitting the water. You also quickly learned to grab your crotch.
