COVID-19 vaccine discussion
It's confusing because in a related NPR written article discussing the interview, they seem to imply that he was specifically referring to full approval - not to emergency use authorization. . I'm still holding out hope for October.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/08/24/covid-delta-variant-live-updates/#link-CFOWGQO7HJCP3CM4SOLOEUTT2Q This sucks. They really need to speed up the process to get the younger school-age kids vaxed. Anyone out there got a hook up with a doc that is willing to give my 11 and 7 year olds doses off-label?

Surly Horns Burnt Ends NIL Program- How YOU can help Texas with the NIL right now!
Have you guys reached out to main steam media? This is the first instance I've seen where someone has crowdsourced a funding source. You might want to shoot the statesman or espn something showing the plan and compliance office sign off. I would think they would be interested in running something on this.

2021 Morgantown Road Trip.
Just a PSA for anyone planning on going to Morgantown this year. The WVU ticket office just put individual game tickets on sale today. there are still plenty of WVU-Texas tickets available. I know in years past, the DC Texas Exes have had a block of tickets as well so that may also be an option. Also - Individual game parking passes are available. The Green lot is the closest lot to the stadium that you can buy a single game pass for. There will lots of tailgating in this lot and it will sell out well in advance of the game.

Expedited passport in post-covid world
Just renewed my son's passport. He's 10 so had to renew in person at the post office. Appointment at USPS on June 7th. Paid for expedited processing and priority mail return. Status updated on line that the application was received by the passport office on June 11th. Received an email on July 2nd saying the application was approved. Passport showed up later that afternoon. So in total - took a little less than 4 weeks from mailing off to receiving.

Rowing
Mens rowing has never been an ncaa sport. Due to title 9 they made the womens an official NCAA sanctioned sport. A lot of the smaller traditional mens rowing schools have dropped it over the past few years.

Rowing
Very nice. My wife was a NCAA rower for Rutgers. I know very little about rowing but she was reliving her glory days explaining everything that was going on in the races today. That was a great last race.

Yeah - how does that work? Winner of 1-Eights?

Deadliest Catch Season 15
I thought at the end of last season they were showing teasers with Josh indicating he was going to be coming back on to the boat. Guess they figured out that might not be such a good idea.

Who's been covid vaxxed? Stand up and be counted.
I would add to this that if they are also masked up and at a limited capacity gym they're risks are even lower.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You made a statement that "Usually what happens in universal healthcare is more people die waiting to get their procedures." Zepol called you out on it and you cited an article to presumably back up your initial statement that people are dying while waiting to get a procedure. The article you posted has absolutely nothing to do with that.- Formerly DT: COVID-19 - Featuring Lots of Politics, now CR because political talk not going away
That article doesn't say anything about people dying while waiting to get a procedure. It's talking about funding being cut from early education that teaches people how to live healthier lives which would in turn prevent things like heart disease.- Texas Recruiting Notes 2021

Hoping someone out there in Texarkana/Bowie County area can help me out. My dad is 81 with practically every known medical condition known to man but can't seem to find a shot. He says that he calls 4 or 5 places a day and they all tell him they don't have anything and that they can't schedule anything for him until they have supply. I'm not sure he has the ability to use the internet to hunt something down. Anyone that can give me a lead or ideas on how to hook him up I'd appreciate it.- A story about a pathetic man's downfall [34 Felony Convictions]
NY Times had a similar article but also included the following: While not ideal, I am assuming the guy is going to get re-assigned on Day 1 to some other important position like "Head of Janitorial Services." As to the question about whether this was normal civil service hiring practice, from what I have seen it looks like it was a posted opening where several candidates were interviewed for the opening. Although it has been reported that the other candidates scored higher on the interview, at that stage of the process, the hiring authority usually has discretion on the hire. - Formerly DT: COVID-19 - Featuring Lots of Politics, now CR because political talk not going away
