That was a fun at bat, but man Rogers was a mess last night. Until he started piping sinkers into the zone during the Freeman at bat, his other pitches were easy takes.
According to reports, Momeni was pitching Lee on a new mobile app that was in development. The app, called Stabify, uses mobile phone location tracking to identify nearby people that deserve to be stabbed.
It's possible, though still unconfirmed, if this was simply a case of a product demo gone awry.
The best part about seeing a new Buccee's open along a Texas interstate is knowing that I can go to the next exit past and get gas at a virtually empty gas station and deal with even fewer of the unwashed masses.
He has to know how bad that bullpen is, if I was him I certainly would not have been strutting. I probably would have been smoking a cig and shaking and telling the bullpen not to fucking blow this.
Nothing much more to add that hasn't already been said, but in both places I would highly, highly recommend keeping half a day each day free for exploring. Unless you're the type who needs every minute of your day planned and to do otherwise makes you anxious.
Best times I have had in both cities have been stuff like wandering the Latin Quarter for eat and drink, or grabbing some bread and cheese and sitting outside in one of the gardens people watching. Or finding some random pub in London and meeting some locals. Unless you're a complete jackass those same locals may also give you some great recs on other things to do in the area.
I am a big fan of a Sunday Roast at a good London pub.
I also enjoy using the metro or tube in both places to get around quickly and cheaply.
It's not the Tenderloin but I don't know how many people are out on the street in that area at 230am. There are offices and some restaurants around there. Some lunatic homeless person might have made their way down there from Market St.
I would take that bet with nearly every single CFB team outside of Ohio State, Georgia, and Alabama.
For A&M I would try to 10x it. Imagine the shit eating grin you'd have every October when A&M has already lost their second game and you get a notice of a $1000 Venmo from a sad Aggie.
I was in Detroit for Game 4 when Romo struck out Cabrera to end it.
Was a great night. From the upper deck I could see some Detroit fans behind the 1B dugout filing out when the game went to extras.
Snuck down there before the Top of the 10th and ended up about 10 rows from the Giants dugout to see it wrap up. Top tier sports memory.
I am glad they were able to give Romo that send-off. Long live El Mechon.
