Texas Rangers 2023 - They're Still Shitty?
Kidding aside, I've watched more baseball in 6 weeks (and fallen in love again, as it were) than I have the past 6 years. I started the trial of FobuTV to watch and now I happily pay the monthly fee. I was excited and bought some new Rangers gear this weekend and am planning a trip to the ballpark with the family (something we haven't done in ages). So yea, I guess I'm a front runner too-- like he said, it happens. Not being depressingly bad will do wonders for the turnout and interest of a team, who knew?

Do we still do that claw thing or the antlers thing when we hit a double? - WallyPryor, probably

Texas Rangers 2023 - They're Still Shitty?
This is a big week against one of the better NL teams-- we need to win big so Seattle can't make their move.

Succession -- HBO
My bet is Roman being the unlikely heir apparent and winner of the succession of thrones. We see his turn this season, he's firing people, he's getting a taste of pure power, and this week he was the most focused and clear on execution (and correct, in pursuit and to keep power). The teaser next week shows him breaking out of the shell as the showman and charismatic face. My bet is Roman is the Michael Corleone of the Roy family and we will see an ending that solidifies Roman's turn to baby Logan and the last episode will leave us with the assurance that the cutthroat empire is in good hands.

Succession -- HBO
Roman showing he is the most cuthroat, Logan Roy of them all. He was pretty focused on the ends and the end game.

NBA Playoffs 2023
Wow so at least one 8 seed in the conference finals; maybe two. Historic.

Immigration Today
You are spot-on; if you could evenly distribute and thin it out, nary a soul would notice or care. The reality, not saying it's problematic, is that populations concentrate in small areas, stressing resources. It's understandable though, as there is safety and comfort in community.

Dumbass Shit We See On Facebook
Dallas and maybe Houston are split like East and West Berlin. @futuremanyour boyfriend is trending!

Ted Lasso (Apple+)
I wonder if you get him narrating some of it at the end of the movie like The Hobbit or the critic in Ratatouille as the show fades out to some interesting, obscure-yet-not song that is perfect for the ending.

Infinitely quotable; can watch it again from beginning to end or just catch it in pieces or just have it on in the background at this point:

Sixty thousand people were waiting near the border to enter the US yesterday, though Border Patrol is already far beyond capacity with 25,000 migrants in custody, the BBC reported- Dumbass Shit We See On Facebook
Why is my guy posing in a 1990's HOA clubhouse complete with the people in the back near the pool table, though?- NBA Playoffs 2023
Devin Booker is cursed and I love it. CP3 will never get a ring and I love that more. This must be what it's like to be a Sith.- NBA Playoffs 2023
down by 30 at halftime. LOOLOLOLOL- Bullies making fun of my kids
This is really bad advice. Trying to break a nose and assaulting a kid with a metal water bottle for saying mean things will probably result in the kid "defending" himself to be in very big trouble. Nevermind, looks like you were joking and the OP was joking.- Ted Lasso (Apple+)
I thought the show tried to illustrate that he's still very focused on his job-- staying late and strategizing with the whiteboard, always focused and heads down in his office on plays and stratagem, etc.- The Business of Hollywood & Streaming
The bold is, from what I understand, the biggest problem the writers have with getting their deal done. They don't have the access to the data/numbers.- The Business of Hollywood & Streaming
Per @henrygandorf, who is about as plugged in as anyone on here for this stuff, he said:- Rank Big 3 cable news
I watch CNBC. Will even put up with Jim Cramer. In fact, I've come around to kinda liking him. He's like Stephen A. Smith or Skip Bayless in that way, you hate him but it's entertaining hate.- The Business of Hollywood & Streaming
Yea I think that's my point and the one Henry made earlier-- the strike was so telgraphed and known that everyone prepared for it. Studios and streamers and people all have a lot of dry powder and provisions to wait it out, and generally the everyday people and watcher of tv shows, aren't affected. Nobody is watching Channel 8 or Channel 5 at a specific time and date anymore for a show.- NBA Playoffs 2023
With 8 mins left and down 15 just rest everyone now and get everyone feeling good for G6. - Immigration Today
