I know, but this is all driven by the tariffs being worse than everyone's worst case nightmare scenario. The jobs report was solid. It's the tariffs that are freaking everyone out. If he lifted them, the rest of the economic indicators are pretty strong still. Biden handed him a good economy. You could see a pretty strong bounce back if he lifted them in the very near future.
I think it's going to get much worse. At the same time, I can see a scenario where Trump is so thin skinned/bothered with being blamed for the crash and not feeling loved that he might lift the tariffs and frame it as some kind of victory: All the countries countries came to the table, we made our point, now the world knows, America is great again because of the tariffs, now we don't need them anymore. You just don't know with that crazy asshole. The White House is claiming 50 countries have contacted them for talks on tariffs. Who the fuck knows?
This is the text from when I moved into the cash equivalent fund. Does this mean I have to endure Monday's loss or Monday and Tuesday's loss? I think I read it as Monday only, but I'm not positive.
Voya does not appear to offer a sell to cash option. That would have been a dream. I had 148k in both of my 401ks. I lose 12k in 2 days. I moved my money into the principal protection funds but I don't think the changes post until Tuesday. I just hope the market calms down for a day or two or this will be even more brutal.
I didn't know what to do so I didn't change anything. I'm afraid to look at the balances now. I want to roll over, but I'm afraid they'll crater before I can get the money out. I think I might be forced to go into those stability of principal type accounts even though the money might be trapped there. I'm also afraid he'll ease off the tariffs while my money is in transit and i'll miss any bounce back. Kind of freaked out here.
He's not thinking that far ahead. Plus he probably still doesn't understand what tariffs are and likely everyone around him is too afraid to correct him.
He probably never gave out the 2 million dollars. The recipients were likely chosen beforehand and were essentially in on it knowing they weren't getting paid. This is how Elon would have evaded arrest if charges were ever brought. He could show that he never actually paid out the 2 million dollars. As long as the voters were not aware of the sham before the election, it makes no difference in turnout.
Looking at the map, that Schimel guy did not run up huge margins in most rural districts. I'm seeing a lot of high 50s and low 60s. A lot of GOP voters crossed the line.
Wisconsin is interesting. Susan Crawford has an early lead, but adding voter ID to the state constitution is also winning, and winning big. Does this mean a lot of GOP voted for Crawford? You would think the Dem vote is voting no on that amendment.
It's deep red. Oddly, the election is too soon into his term to really hurt them yet. A year from now, this might have been a winnable race. But as of now, Social Security cuts haven't happened yet. Tariffs haven't been fully implemented. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg we're about to hit. Many of them still think Trump's only going to hurt the libs. It will be too late when they figure it out.
They called FL House seat 6 for the republican, Randy Fine. This is a deep red district. I'm guessing the margin is much closer than Trump's win in the district. No results in from the other elections yet.
I found the pdf sheets on those funds. One has fees listed. The other has a ton of verbiage. I'm starting to really intensely dislike dealing with Voya.

That's a hunch on what might happen if the Dow completely crashes out. It's something I'm watching.
Unfortunately, I have struggled mightily in my life financially. I don't have nearly enough saved to avoid being impoverished at some point. I might need to take a risk to try and catch up. I probably won't end up doing it, but I at least want the option to explore it. I am aware crypto is very, very risky/speculative.
Were there any other options in there with less market volatility to them? How quickly could I get rolled into a self directed fund?
If you notify Voya that you want to roll over into a new company, do they convert your funds to cash and hold them or do they stay in their current investment distributions?
I'm leaning toward rolling into a self directed fund. I want to get out of stock volatility this week though. This week could be really bad. Tariffs on Wed and job report on Friday and it was already trending down. yikes
Thanks for looking. I think the two might be my only options. How large could the fees be?
