Thanks for the list. It's a good sized spot (big enough for an oak). But I've already got some shumards, a Monterrey, and another cedar elm, which was why was looking to mix things up. Soil has lots of clay. My old place had lots of live oaks and I'm kinda over the mess they make and trying to keep grass alive under them.
We used to have a water oak when I was growing up that I loved. Might look into that as well.
What is surly's opinions on your favorite (non-oak) shade tree? I'm looking to put one in later this year.
I was thinking either an Cedar Elm or Ash (maybe Chinese pistache). I've always liked the ash but I know others think it's a trash tree.
Is this crab grass? It's taking over a corner of the yard. Pain in the ass to pull up, with a long root.

Nice, I have a few fat boys and slims, with a few new types. The Fat Boy feels the best, but I think the slim gives the better shave.
I'll have to dig out the rest.
Looking for small trees for privacy fence. Anyone know what these are? The white bark with the Holly type berries is the serrated leaves. The darker bark (2nd pic) is the rounder leaf.

Even if Leal commits tmrw and doesnt flip, yes it's a big loss. Probably the biggest of the recruiting season. But it wont make or break either team. You're forgetting that Herman pushed in Jimbo's gaggle of 5 stars with a bunch of 2-3 star specials.
I still like our chance of making the playoffs over the next few years than Aggy's chance of sniffing it. So hike up your skirts and grab your tits.
