  1. my best guess. its jammed. do this.
  2. get in the attic and trace the wire or you can guess by using a continuity tester at the different outlets to try to trace it. likely spots to look if you can follow the wire. 1) loose connection inside a junction box. If somebody was a dick4, they could of buried a junction box behind drywall. 2) I had a random outlet that would work intermittently, and the solution was the stab connection at the upstream outlet wasnt tight anymore. Stab connections suck a butt. 3)if you cant trace the wires, it would probably be easier just to run a new wire from the closest existing outlet. It almost sounds like your outlet has been removed from a live circuit at some point. Has it ever worked for you? Signed youtube electrician
  3. i would guess the outlet upstream is connected to it through a stab connector on the back of the outlet and the connector doesnt make contact anymore. you should have a live wire if its connected properly upstream.
  4. Anybody have any good contacts for special need advocates for katy isd? I need to know what I need to be pushing for. Thanks
  5. Saw this thread and it made me join and get off the sideline. I would guess this mostly comes off as venting but sometimes thats all I can do. Autistic adhd kid. Mid to high functioning (aspergers) and huge social handicaps. Anyways, the dude is entering 6th grade this year and its obvious to us that its not working in public in a giant school district. We finally made the decision to pull him and find a new school for him. For anybody change is rough but for this particular little brain its an impossible thing to comprehend. We apply to a school that we think is a good fit but he has to shadow for a day before he is allowed to attend. And he just fucking tanks it. Acts like a belligerent asshole all day. He's not asked to return. Fucking humiliating to just get told not to come back. Fast forward 2 weeks, and he is somehow already failing just about all of his classes in 6th grade. The last year of his life seems to have been marked with many steps of regression and our plans as parents just seem to be falling apart. We are just lost right now. I just need a minute to be sad/mad and i will get up and keep fighting but fuck the last 2/3 weeks have sucked. Thanks for the space to vent.
