Advice for tOSU game tickets
Looking to go with my 2 sons, aged 12 and 14. Wondering what best approach for this game will be to try and get tickets for best value. I'm thinking prices will probably go up closer to game month/week given the hype. Some halfway decent seats are sub-$500 right now. But prices for Michigan fell the night before the game last year to the $200s, not sure if this one will given no resume to refer to and the rabid fan bases, plus recent history in CFB playoff.

2024 Texas defense - Pipe Swingin Mother Fuckers
You WERE this team and the reason we were 1 yard and a few stops from playing and beating Notre Dame for the national championship. If only we could have paired you with a worthy offense, what could have been. Thank you to Broughton, Gbenda, Sorrell, Barron, Mukuba and the other departing seniors for almost singlehandedly willing us all the way to the finish line. Hook 'Em [emoji1598]

2025 Cotton Bowl: CFP SF - Texas vs. Ohio State - 6:30pm on ESPN
Quinn is part of the problem. A QB who isn't able to move when a pocket collapses and floats deep balls isn't going to do it for us. A better developed Arch has the tools to get out of a lot of the crap calls that Sark got Quinn into. But I agree Sark needs an OC. He called that BS. It's on him and Quinn.

2024 Week 17 - Cotton Bowl CFP Semifinal Texas vs Ohio State
Can anyone convince me to fly all the way to Dallas from the northeast for this game just to have SRO seats with my 13 yo son, vs enjoy the game in the comfort of our finished basement with surround sound on a comfy couch watching on a 75 inch TV with unlimited drinks and snacks? These ticket prices have been nuts (saw peach bowl decent seats for $150 or less), and can't justify the > $1200 price for just above shitty seats at Jerry World.

2025 Peach Bowl: CFP QF - Texas vs. Arizona State - 12pm on ESPN
This team has scored 516 points in 14.75 games. 85 of those have been 3rd quarter points. That's about 5 pts/3rd quarter. 16% of our total points. Meanwhile the defense has given up 63 points in the 3rd quarter, which is about 4 pts/3rd quarter. They've only given up 194 total pts this season though, so about 32% of the points given up have been in the 3rd quarter. Just shows that while Sark keeps getting bailed out by our defense, his lack of production on offense is taxing them in the 3rd.

FINAL 2024 CFB polls/rankings - Texas #3/ #4 /#3 (CFP/AP/Coaches)
No, I'm 13. You look like a weaker "national champion" when your own conference mate beat your ass twice in a season. Yes, truly a legitimate number one team for the ages. Of course we'd all take a national championship, but two losses to Georgia cheapens it a little bit. One loss, fine. But two and we're just the playoff champion that was lucky to not have to play Georgia a third time. Reminds me of '03 when both USC and LSU were "national champions." In the '05 season there was no doubt we were the best. I'm saying it'd feel a hell of a lot better if we got to beat them on the way there.

They beat us twice. A national champion with two losses to the same team in a season doesn't sound like a national champion.

Anyone else feel like our only way to legitimacy is through Georgia? I really want to beat them when it counts the most

Paris/Europe in late January?
Still planning! Trip is in late January. We booked a macaron baking class. Now planning restaurants. Looking for great ambiance but food my non-adventurous wife will eat. I'll eat anything, but I'm worried we'll end up at a fancy fixed price menu and she'll have pigeon or duck or rabbit in front of her and refuse to eat it.

Aggy gonna collectively lose their mind when they see espn projections having them miss the 12 team playoffs.

SEC Championship Game - Scenarios?
Anyone but Aggy in the ccg. We win out and TN wins out is my preference

What do y’all make of Georgia beating our ass?
They didn't take us to the woodshed when you realize how shitty Quinn played and how a couple of missed plays would have had us close to tied up at various points in the game. We did get manhandled up front but our O-line and Quinn really shit the bed. We only lost by 2 scores. I think we'd beat them if we played again. Especially with that trash QB beck.

Official Coach Sark Thread of Dominance—haters back off
I think Sark knows the tools Quinn has and rightfully wants to use them this season because he knows it's Quinn's last on the 40 acres. He can't control whatever is going on in Quinn's head. The game plan wasn't bad yesterday. We should have scored on the flea flicker. Quinn shouldn't have melted under pressure, made the bad throws, suddenly developed the athleticism and scrambling ability of Ben Roethlisberger, etc. The O-line was faced with probably the best group of athletes they'll see all season and looked pushed around more often than not, but also showed they could do some pushing of their own. The Georgia D had the advantage because they were dealing with a QB who clearly was broken mentally and possibly physically, and they were able to pin their ears back and become one dimensional. Just a little bit of elusiveness would have gone a long way yesterday. Sark knows that Arch has the tools to run his offense to it's full potential but is betting on Quinn's veteran experience to be the difference maker, but that bet isn't paying off. The final stretch leading up to Aggy is a perfect proving ground for a QB who's lost his groove and is going to get it back, or a QB who's trying to show that he's learned the ropes and is ready for the big stage. It's definitely a hard choice for Sark to make.
