  1. Compliance issues will most likely govern the timeline for the next flight way more than repairing the launch pad.
  2. You must have come from the Austin direction. Coming from Houston, the 20-25 mph wind was in our faces.
  3. I had regular ramen today, so this hits close to home.
  4. Or what the label looks like.
  5. That cheese pizza looks tasty

  9. W. T. F. re: Ads Chrome on a PC laptop.
  10. I think Eric Berger said it best, that SpaceX iterative test method is messy but effective. Just different than the ultra risk averse approach we are used to seeing in the last 30 years from NASA. This method will converge on a solution much faster. Anyone have any idea if/when this launch vehicle will be rated for human flight? And what mission that would be? I’m thinking the first operational missions would be related to the lunar lander / lunar rendezvous equipment.
  11. It looked in the video like the thing was tumbling end over end at the flight termination. I guess they had a pretty wide arc of GOM closed off for the launch. edit to add - It’s pretty bizarre to see a rocket that size completely out of control.
  12. Hope the mic-ed up deal is only one inning.
  13. Rodney earned himself a five year deal for life changing money, so good on him.
  14. He fast(er than everyone else on the field) Comical really.
  15. Heim in Ft Worth today. Was OK, it hit the spot but not over the top.
  16. Let’s go Astros!
  17. I like Coach Terry. I like the story of this season. We’re not a blue blood basketball school and don’t have the gravitas IMO to attract a Jay Wright out of retirement, or some other A-List guy, so we would be looking at some kind of rando next best thing (like Sark in football) that may or may not work out. It’s tricky for all the different forces to come together to get your dream coach. So, program continuity is better served by keeping Coach T and the staff intact and moving forward. You can’t just money whip an A-List guy. You just look at aggy over there for a good example of what not to do. So let’s all get on board and support the program.
  18. Buddy just needed to find someone to punch.
  19. One dude in the truck with an AK isn’t enough. Don’t ask me how I know.
  20. Yes, that's weird. I wouldn't think twice about going to Hong Kong, and wouldn't really consider doing anything special about security. DRC, agree. I don't know how many armed escorts you would need to feel safe.
  21. We’re going to look up in ten years after a couple of titles, some unexpected short tenures in the tournament and a missed tournament or two and think why did we ever doubt Rodney Terry? And Texas basketball will be better than he found it at the beginning.
