The lower part of Porcupine Rim Trail near Moab, UT features a few approximately 2 ft wide sections alongside a 300 ft cliff, right before the trail meets the Colorado River. It's got some technical parts that require the rider's attention, putting the potential risks on the back burner of one's mind. One of the most beautiful, yet also very dangerous trails is a 6.5 km long section of the Sentiero della Pace (Peace Trail), called Strada delle Cinquantadue Gallerie (Road of 52 Tunnels), at Monte Pasubio in Trentino, Italy. It was built by the Italian military during WWI as a bastion in the Alpine battle against the Austrian-Hungarian army. The 52 tunnels stretch somewhere from 10 meters (33 ft) to 318 meters (1043 ft) in length, with the narrow trail winding alongside the rugged cliff. Due to frequent deadly accidents, mountain biking on the 52 tunnel section has been prohibited for over ten years now. Hikers are still allowed, though. Not only are most of the tunnels pitch-black inside, with low-hanging sharp-edged ceilings, there are also numerous deceptive "false" exits, with the edge of the cliff right behind it. Despite good headlights on a bike, one's eyes will take their time to adjust to the darkness, while riding towards the light of a supposed exit. The moment one realizes the mistake, it's already too late. In the picture below, riders will be drawn towards the light when they should be turning right. The openings used to be firing positions for the Italian artillery. A few exits see the trail turn abruptly, also leaving no chance to those who ride carelessly into the broad light at the end of the tunnel. I rode the trail a few times before it was closed for mountain biking. It's a lot of fun with breathtaking views, but utmost attention is required at any moment. The frequently occurring deadly accidents had been a hot topic within the MTB community for years. Finally, after another mountain biker had met his maker 1000 ft. below the rim, Italian authorities allowed only hikers from there on. Once in a while there will be MTB enthusiasts, who lift their bikes over the barriers, in order to ride the trail illegally. During summer, somewhere around 3.45 am, right after dawn and on a weekday. The views at sunrise are stunning and the air is fresh, so I've heard. But one will go to jail and pay through one's nose when caught. Therefore, it's not worth the risk, especially since one will be in kind of an inadvertent rush in order to avoid the carabinieri. But I'd always recommend hiking, like these Italian guys did...

C'mon, Rich Rod is such an upstanding human being... Some of the juicy facts that accompanied his firing at Arizona detailed his juggling of numerous extramarital affairs. For example, he invited his then-mistress to the sideline of an Arizona home game, knowing that both, his wife Rita as well as his daughter, an Arizona pom girl, would be down there as well. In order to avoid any tension or fight between Rita and his mistress, he ordered his female assistant, whom he also had an ongoing affair with, to stand between the two women throughout the game and keep them separate. That guy is one hell of a scumbag.

Definitely not good. Even the U.S. have seen a recent increase in whale poaching. According to savethewhales.org, the following recordings shows some rare footage of the protected Tuscaloosa Land Whale (balaena alabamaensis), a species inhabiting North American rural as well as urban areas close to fast food subsidiaries, such as McDonald's, Waffle House and KFC. "Midsummer 2018 in Anchorage, AK. Local Department of Fish and Game authorities determined that the hunter in this secretly filmed act of poaching baited his catch with five pounds of deep-fried butter balls and three gallons of sugar beet molasses, in order to simply hitch the commonly elusive cetacean species to his vehicle and tow the unsuspecting creature to its final destination: a plastic-covered couch in front of a 55-inch high-definition television device, scavenged in a Walmart Black Friday turmoil. The TLW is hunted for the pungent aroma and occasional residue, stored in its monthly changed undergarments, which arouses concupiscence among connoisseurs worldwide."- ¡Snek!

"... another new member of the group bit off the head of a live hamster at the urging of older members." Wouldn't be surprised if the hamster's head stuck out of a senior member's anus at the time. Sure, people have the right to donate to whomever they want. If friends of the family feel like that, they're free to do so in private. However, once you ask for donations from strangers via a public platform like GoFundMe (even included in the original news article), then you better be transparent about the beneficiary's true financial situation and indigence. Otherwise your own egoistic greed and shortsightedness will undermine the trustworthiness and credibility of the platform in question. Once people find out that they've been donating their hard-earned money to a bunch of millionaires, they'll be understandably miffed. Which will impact their prospective willingness to donate in cases of actual destitution.- Post a pic that makes you say "Holy shit."

"80,000 Americans died of the flu last winter." Even in Germany, with a population of 81 million and its superior health care system, there were still 971 flu-induced deaths in that same time frame. In the Middle Ages, influenza repeatedly decimated the European population by large quantities. It was one of the most common causes of death. It has also killed millions of native inhabitants of colonized areas around the world immediately after the invasion. Killing a small isolated tribe with a simple sneeze is indeed a real threat.- American missionary shot full of arrows on remote island
Obviously the island infidels anticipated that they had this kind of Christian history and biblical exegesis bullshit coming. So they exterminated the guy preemptively. Good on them. Who wants to sit down and learn this useless fantasy garbage, only to pointlessly argue about it later, when that same precious time could be spent fucking and living the good life on one's own private island? - Post a pic that makes you say "Holy shit."
