Theres a prolific genre of shortform videos of DIY carpentry where it is very obvious a man did all the planning and construction, but films his attractive gf/wife fastening a screw or sanding a table edge or something as if its her project… …and, well, it definitely works. (And yes im being mysogynistic. How many fucking females do you know out of 100 who cheerily takes on a weekend project installing built-in cabinetry)
i played a random Shake It Off (taylor swift) cover on Apple Music for my kid, which led to an endless loop of 90s rap covers done in soul. The songs kept on coming and they were all executed really well, and then it struck me that these were all AI-generated. And theyre fucking awesome. I love the derivative robot music

And wtf is system of a down
If you were a teenager around the turn of the millenium surely the internet convinced you that 2 of the greatest movies of all time are Boondock Saints and Equilibrium. And what massive pieces of shit those movies actually are.
There are also multiple Aegons and Aemonds.. the first, the fourth, the fifth... I have this problem IRL with English history and their kings. 11 of those fuckers were Edwards, 8 Henrys, 6 Georges, etc. And some of them took on those names AFTER they got crowned.
popular theory is that Gaethje had a staph infection, visible in prefight footage. He looked more sluggish than usual. paddy was always overrated / boosted by the UFC. gamrot, bsd, fiziev, ruffy, would all put it on him. dude got gifted a decision over jared gordon. he's t15 gatekeeper territory.
Ser Arlan Hugewood? Best Jousting scene i've ever watched. Frantic. Different from the gallantry vibe you get as a kid from reading it in comics. Felt kinda like a 1960s Formula 1 race. The other good medieval joust/battle scene is this:
I think it was both. I know the latter because I had an old Nissan where sometimes the clutch pedal could, momentarily, get stuck at the edge of the OEM mat. First moment of mass psychosis / misinformation that really registered with me. All the official federal investigation like NTSB showed it was not a throttle issue, and it is provable in any car that friction brakes outpower throttle application from highway speeds. Yet the public was successfully brainwashed into believing it was a Toyota error.
What I liked about Tanzania was that all of the parks were substantially different from eachother in terms of scenery, game, vibes. Youre seeing animals in different environments against different backdrops: wide open crater bowls, vast plains, hiding behind dense bush or trees, etc. Its kinda like visiting Bryce Canyon one week and Moab the next. Maybe the other countries are like that too but I cant speak for them.
it looks like nyc/american style where the recipe is already adapted to domestic oven temps. fwiw if going that route, i find a baking steel is better than stone due to superior conductivity. cast iron pies is also an option if the size works for you.
imo go outdoors if its within your personal comfort. i made a domestic oven pizza for relatives (yes they like corn) and even with a similar stone to my ooni and long cook time, it couldnt blister the base or the crust. neapolitan dough was adapted for indoors by adding some olive oil and sugar to help with the browning. (supposed this was the history of italian pizza adaptation in new york). didnt seem to help. the ooni chamber is so small and enclosed i dont think the cold ambient affects it enough to perform worse than home oven.
a lot of british people tend to end sentences in questions dont they? its a weird way of speaking isnt it? it gets really irritating after a while doesnt it? anyway, im listening to this podcast from the former writers of the british car magazine EVO, and these 5 dudes keep on sprinkling these tag-questions onto every declarative phrase and it shortcircuits my brain because it sounds like theyre constantly asking eachother something , when they really arent.
Im team islay. My all-time favorites are ardbeg, port charlotte, lagavulin; all are on the deeper end of islay peats, and they just seem to evaporate from the mouth. Truth be told I dont like most whiskeys. When I was was experimenting trying to be a “whiskey guy” (because its a sophisticated adult male thing, see) i bought all the single malts like glenfiddich and glenmorangie and etc and turns out i find these creamy, butterscotchy, oaky spirits a bit aggressive and repugnant. It’s just islays and a few bourbon here or there that i truly enjoy.
