Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, etc.)
He can't because he's a fucking retard. It was a direct response to GBTC and IBIT. Neither securities are leveraged. Not even notionally but like very objectively, factually, neither items lever as they buy the underlying with assets at 1:1 , and investors trade them at 1:1. Here's another example, in response to MicroStrategy: MSTR do not claim or recognize Bitcoin as earnings or profits. Their PNL comes from their software business. Bitcoin sits on the corporate treasury, which gets marked to market as would a bond or commercial paper, which is how accounting is always supposed to be done. LMAO

Tell me you don't know what Nvidia's financials are or their investor's motivation for buying the stock. NVDA made money to the tune of 64B profit in the last 12 months. It would take 5 decades of that profitability to pay back the equity ownership. If you assume recent rate of growth (incremental ~3B/q) continues forever, it would take 10 years of that insane growth -- think to when the Seahawks last won a Superbowl -- for the business to break even to its valuation. So while there is a business that underpins the equity, it explains a tiny sliver of the equity price. Someone buying a stock at this levels needs to assume: (a) business grows even higher, faster or (b) someone else will buy the stock at a higher value. In other words: "they can [re]sell NVDA to them at a higher price". The same motivation is behind buying both things.

Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Maybe Ewers is better than Ehlinger when the pass protection is perfect (like in practice) but my measure of QB is to perform when things aren't perfect. The toughness, escapability, and improv is where guys stand out and where Sam is leagues better so far.

SEC charges former employee of Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond with insider trading
Very disappointed that someone breaking securities law to do insider trading only got $600k out of it. Like getting caught street racing in a Hyundai Elantra. Bush league.

Markets still falling like whoa
Interesting divergence from the 4 bellweathers of the US consumer economy, with Target and Walmart reporting this week, and Visa and Mastercard reporting last month (pre-election) Visa: forward growth ~10% MC: forward growth ~10% WM: forward growth ~10% Target: forward growth flat. stock takes 20% hit in pre-market. 3 out of 4 looking rosy is not bad, ill take it. at the low-end, dollar tree and dollar general both expect very modest growth (rather than big jump in cost conscious shoppers). also good sign imo

an absolutely fucktarded move in the new Outlook is you cannot continuously scroll through the calendar view in the monthly mode, and you cannot advance any mode using the mouse scroll wheel. You have to click the ^ and v icons to jump from week to week or month to month.- Random thoughts that don't warrant a thread
Why do comedians talk about themselves as if theyre a special breed of people (perhaps more than any profession), and why are the people they insist as “a comedian’s comedian” almost never funny?- Johntay Cook dismissed from the football team.

its mildly amusing to me that british people want to get personalized license plates, but are not allowed to, so theres a big secondary market to re-sell license plates that is vaguely similar to what people might want. so someone named Gary will pay lots of money for a plate that read "1AM 6ARY"- 2021 UFC/MMA thread

Thailand all day everyday. Lovely people, lots of destinations, very well developed for tourism, great food, and again lovely people. Philippines there are some good destinations and I know people who had a good time. But I’ve seen 2 extremes of it and they both suck: the capital Manila which is absolute dogshit, and a sleepy island in Coron/Palawan where I did some diving but it was zzZzzZz boring.- Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet, Now Starting for the Miami Dolphins
Absolutely not. No team is gambling a day 1 pick on a person with his now well-known deficiencies. Shedeur and Cam will mame day 1. Quinn wont.- Texas vs. Arkansas - 11:00am on ABC
