Feds Investigating Soutlake ISD
They opened DU right after I left. A high school friend is a chef up there, so it’s good to hear that the food is good.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
A bit formulaic and boring. Does set up something as a big bad.

Sharing 1 keyboard/mouse between 2 computers
Having gone done this road in the none-too-distant past, just make sure that the KVM or an additional hub allows you to share all other peripherals, e.g. headsets or webcams.

Act person you thought would make it big but didn’t
He did got to TCU. One of my math professors liked to regal us with the tale of how he cut Klein no slack for having to miss class for shoots.

Act person you thought would make it big but didn’t
I’d say peak Brendan Fraser was Scrubs or the Mummy.

Act person you thought would make it big but didn’t
I'll go with a few SF/fantasy actors from years ago. Michael McManus (Kai from Lexx) Ben Browder (Farscape/SG1) Adrian Paul (Highlander)

need some surly market research re: reality/docu-series tv
Haven’t watched reality tv in years, but it was always something to watch with my wife (or ex-wife years ago). Storage Wars and Flipping Vegas because of the characters. Just about any kind of shit when I was young, from the Simple Life to the Surreal Life. Again, it was because of the characters. Switched to YouTube for reaction vids, primarily the Irish Try channel, Reactistan, or various vocal coaches or other musicians. It was the characters. My only advice would be to get it at or under 20 minutes and stream it. My wife and I don’t have time for binging most days, unless it is just background noise.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
LOL. One of the main characters was sometimes called “Progeny”. Might continue calling it that as she is the only interesting character so far.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
I watched Progeny last week. Yep, it’s a kids’ show. Not even sure it is YA. May just binge it later, after the season is over.

WVU @ TCU ESPNU
Sorry, was thinking of Red and Charlie. This is almost exactly like late stage Mack except even Mack would take drastic steps like bring in Robinson(?) to help with the defense.
-
WVU @ TCU ESPNU
No, because, apparently, the TCU BMDs don’t have an issue with losing or a rapidly emptying stadium. Like if Red hadn’t been pissed about losing because he was still getting handjobs from Mack. That’s TCU’s situation.

Looks like TCU won’t win another game.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
Best Trek episode in years. Strange New Worlds will have to be very good to top that.

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
I get a P+ subscription included in my full price 247 subscription. (That’s for TCU’s 247 board, not a Longhorn one.) It’s not a bad deal.

Snoring / Sleep Apnea / CPAP
Technically yes, but you can get them online from reputable gray market dealers without one.

California bans "stealthing" (non-consent condom removal)
What if it comes off while fucking? Race to the police to get charges filed?

Star Trek Discovery: Season 2 - It Got Good. Real Good. (Ep 1 inside)
A year later, my posts don’t always hold up well. The writers found their groove and became less bombastic. It is working.

Changing your mind on a job offer?
About a decade ago, my wife did the opposite of what everyone suggests. She’s a teacher and her school was being shutdown, so she jumped at the first in-district job she was offered. A day later, an honors magnet school came calling. She did what she thought was best; she stayed true to her word. It was the worst two-year experience of her working life.

Babylon 5 reboot in the works with J. Mike Stracz. creating
I could get on board with the idea if it was clear that it’s just the same setting, that the characters and the story are different. Less a re-boot than a complete reinvention, like a different DM using the same campaign setting to run a different campaign with all-new players. If that’s what he was tweeting, yeah, I’m on board. But if is just a new Sheridan and Delenn, a new Vir, Londo, and G’Kar, which is what the BG reference suggests…I’m not that interested. That type of reboot has been done to death.

Babylon 5 reboot in the works with J. Mike Stracz. creating
The tweets do not make me feel better. I’d rather see the story of the first three Babylon stations or something later that wasn’t covered in the movies. Like the story of the advanced human in the last ep of season 4.

Trivial things that make you surly in movies / TV shows that you love
Yeah, but how often do the titties stay wrapped in real life?

Rick and Morty
Last night I accidentally watched ep 10 first. So I didn't know about ep 9 until today when I read Surly. From that perspective, ep 9 wasn't all that bad. Lots of callbacks to movies like Deadpool 2. Really liked the garbage goober bit at the end.

What If? Disney+ Marvel Animated Series
I have and it was good. I think it is this style of animation. It has never done anything for me. Regular animation is fine. Live-action is fine. Even regular CGI, e.g. LotR or Avatar, can be fine. This style may be too close to the uncanny valley for me.
