  1. I saw Ashton Bowers lost first round. Who was the other?
  2. Carmen Herea is into the quarter finals of the NCAA individual singles tournament! She plays a tough match tomorrow against UNC’s Reese Brantmeier.
  3. Hopefully Nora gets some playing time this coming season, but yes this discussion belongs in the beach volleyball thread ➡️
  4. If Nora doesn't have an NIL deal with Hot Topic that company deserves to go bankrupt.
  5. Shit I just saw the Oldacre news. If she can’t go against UCLA, Betts is going to feast in the paint with little resistance. Could get ugly
  6. We were putting together a pretty good free throw performance until justice Carlton missed both of her free throws in the last few seconds that dropped the team percentage under 70% for the night.
  7. I watched their matches on ESPN+ Wild that Zheng was unseeded despite being the defending champ. Jodar at UVA would easily win this event if he competed, but being a foreign player there’s not much benefit in competing. It’s a sham by the NCAA that he’s eligible next season but Timo isn’t.
  8. Erikkson and Gorzny both lost their singles matches in the 2nd round today at the NCAAs which concluded the fall season for Texas. If Timo is ineligible it feels like this team will have a low ceiling in the fall. I think Mississippi State has the best team in the SEC
  9. I won't side with Sark on his assessment that we dominated Vandy. The score is the score and you can't pretend the 4th quarter didn't happen like he wanted everyone to. However, I would argue that we did dominate Oklahoma on a neutral field, and OU is in a position to be a playoff team. If we beat aggy by multiple scores, thats two playoff teams we dominated, and one borderline playoff team (vandy) that we beat in regulation. And for the record, I don't think we're in the playoffs if we beat Arky and aggy, but I am presenting the best argument in favor of Texas being in the playoffs.
  10. Baxter has played in 6 of our 10 games this season and has yet to register a rushing TD. Our two featured backs, Baxter and Wisner, have just over 500 yards combined this season with 2 regular season games left. I'm sure the numbers would look better if our OLine created more gaps, but either way you slice it that is abysmal. I don't think our RB room hasn't been this bad since the Tre Newton days in 2010
  11. IF Texas handles business against Arky and Aggy, then I think Sark needs to wear his lobbyist hat and remind the committee they said preseason that Texas nor Ohio State would be "punished" for losing that game. Texas could have played Boston College or Syracuse in tOSU's spot and gotten a win that would have helped them reach the 10 win threshold. Unfortunately our resume would have looked a lot better with a win over a middling ACC team in week 1 than a 7 point loss on the road to a top 3 (now #1) program, and the powers that be say they want more marquee regular season non-con games like Ohio State v. Texas.
  12. These are the blue chip recruits that have been signing with Virginia this decade. I’m glad we got her and kept her away from Virginia at the same time
  13. That’s why the NFL would be an ideal landing spot for Sark. They have true off-seasons where he could take a few months off to work on his personal issues. If you take a month off as a head coach in CFB, you’re playing catch up the rest of the year and it may set the program back even more than a year, just from that month off.
  14. $300/person is a lot to spend just to watch a shitty product, especially in this economy!
  15. Maybe Sarks definition of a great “culture” is different than mine, or the Oxford dictionary. Culture and discipline go hand in hand, and as the 2nd most penalized team in the country, there is no way we can have a great “culture”
  16. Texas went on a 9 year stretch of consecutive 10+ win seasons under Mack Brown. We are currently on back to back 10+ win seasons, so these final 3 games may be meaningless for our championship aspirations this season, but if Sark can position this as a rebuilding year where we end the season 10-3, that’s not bad for a floor even under our standards. 9-4 or 8-5 sounds a lot less acceptable for a floor
  17. That was a wild game, and I'm glad we are on the good side of it
  18. They reviewed Reed Shephards tripping, but didn't review Durant getting tripped?
  19. I think Devin played beach in its inaugural season as well.
  20. Harmon missing two consecutive layups, the first one being uncontested, is concerning.
  21. I'll take UNT if they make it. I have nothing against them and their QB has a good "zero to hero" type story
  22. We also had 2 matches earlier in the year where we saved match points, so I guess it balanced out
  23. Texas struggling to close this out
  24. Texas continuing their third set letdown theme this year
