Kentucky Owl Batch 1 is so damn good. Haven’t tried Batch 2, and I’m expecting to be disappointed. I’m buying every bottle of 1 I can find.

Comparing a wheated bourbon to a wheat whiskey isn’t that big of a stretch. There just aren’t that many wheat whiskies out there. Probably the only one people have tried is Bernheim.

Awesome menu. I’d jump all over that Seasoned Wood.- Bourbon
Get ready for a limited edition collapsed warehouse survivor bottle from 1792. http://www.wlky.com/article/collapse-at-barton-1792-sends-bourbon-barrels-crashing-to-ground/21769369- Bourbon

Sold out guys. I went by this afternoon and they were all gone.- Bourbon
https://thewhiskeywash.com/whiskey-styles/american-whiskey/kentucky-owl-straight-rye-whiskey-batch-2-drops-volume-rises-price/ I hate everything about this. 2nd batch is $70 more expensive with less bottles and at a lower proof.- Bourbon
Rock Hill Farms? That’s an awesome bottle. Did you get it at Specs?- Bourbon
Not sure, but I believe the IVth was released in October. It is pretty easy to find for retail. Honestly, it can be found below retail on the secondary market if that tells you anything. I think suggested retail was $500. I see it for $450 at places like Spec's and TW. I bought a bottle in London, where it is everywhere for $350. I see a bottle on FB right now for $430 shipped where you wouldn't be paying sales tax. With any kind of effort you could get it for $400. There are better ryes out there that are much cheaper.- Bourbon
Nothing wrong with giving something a shot. Campfire is not for your typical bourbon drinkers, but it’s okay. I like peated scotch whisky though.- Bourbon
I like some of thd High West offerings. MWND is great. I’m a big fan of Rendezvous Rye. Double Ryd is solid. Bourye is solid. If you like peated scotches the Campfire is okay, but I wouldn’t buy it. Yippee ki yay is okay, bug I wouldn’t buy it. 36th vote is piss. Some of these are overpriced. The distillery is fun to go to.- Bourbon

It is a marketing gimmick, but tornado caused or not, it is really great. I like the rye spice of it. I think it edges out the Seasoned Wood. There’s a drop off to the Four Grain in my opinion.- Bourbon
1) Tornado 2) Seasoned Wood 3) Four Grain 4) Rye 5) Single Barrel 6) Barrel Proof 7) Small Batch I haven’t tried the Cured Oak or Sour Mash yet. While I love high proofed bottles, for whatever reason I’m not huge on the EHT Barrel Proof.- Bourbon
I look around at several. Bottle-spot, facebook bourbon secondary market, houston whiskey exchange, megafireballs, tx trading co, rare bourbon scotch market.- Bourbon
Goes for $600.- Bourbon
I read that Total Wine in West Plano and in Lewisville have 1792FP Store Picks at $45.- Bourbon
Okay, I found one for $525. That’s a good secondary price if anyone wants it. Let me know.- Bourbon
I did not. I’m not on that page. It just came out today though, so it’s hot in Houston today.- Bourbon
I like the 2017 and 2016 THH better than 2014.- Bourbon
My top recommendation is to look for 1792 Full Proof store picks. That’s a cheap bottle that’s up there with the 2017 GTS if you get a good store pick. I got this one today. It’s phenomenal.- Bourbon
My favorite drinks are high proof. I’m also high on the ryes. I love THH, Van Winkle Rye, and Kentucky Owl. For bourbons, my current favorites are GTS, 1792 Full Proof, Blantons SFTB, and 4RAY. There are some expensive bottles I’m not that big on like ER17, Saz18, Whistlepig Boss Hog for example. There are some bottles I like that I never hear anyone talking about like Dickel 17. I get some decent stuff in the retail store. Nothing really impossible to get, but some that people struggle with. In the past year I’ve gotten ORVW, Kentucky Owl (multiples), Weller 12 (multiples), Elmer T Lee, Four Roses LE (multiples), Blanton’s Gold (multiples), Blantons (multiples), Rockhill Farms, Elijah Craig BP (multiples), Rebel Yell 10 (multiples), EHTSB (multiples), Michter’s 10, Michter’s Toasted Rye, HWMWND. I purchase bottles based on perceived value. I don’t open them unless I know I like them. I try bottles out in bars or with samples before I open them. For example, I got a bottle of 4RAY, but I thought it was probably overrated and planned on trading it. I ended up having at a bar and loving it. I then went searching for a back up bottle. - Bourbon
