In terms of difficulty to find and expense on the secondary market, I think it's more like this.
Small Batch
Single Barrel
Straight Rye
Barrel Proof
Four Grain
Seasoned Wood
Cured Oak
Warehouse C Tornado Surviving
Sour Mash
Also, the Seasoned Wood is definitely better than the Four Grain. I'm not a huge fan of the Barrel Proof, and I love higher proof stuff. I think there are far better barrel proof options out there at better prices. The Single Barrel and Small Batch are great deals. Never had the Cured Oak, Tornado, or Sour Mash although I do have a couple bottles of the Tornado. I just haven't opened them.
The Four Grain should be coming out for a second batch within the next few weeks. Obviously you should purchase immediately if you luck into seeing it.
I'm pretty sure that's all on the regular Blanton's Single Barrel as well. All Blanton's bottles are from warehouse H.
You'll know the straight from the barrel because it will be 35+ proof stronger.
I'll give this a real shot. Although I don't agree with the way he's gone about either, he has some legitimate points regarding regulation and immigration. I'm not sure if he really followed through on that whole "for every new regulation two existing ones have to be eliminated" thing. In general, we should be looking to make the regulatory framework easier to understand and to comply with. Constantly adding new regulations makes it very difficult for smaller companies to comply. It's just too complicated, even if companies are trying to do things the right way.
One immigration, I'm not so sure that some merit based system isn't a decent way to do things, at least for a portion of our immigration. Also, some pause on allowing immigrants from some of these hotspots isn't a bad idea. Now, he once again didn't go about it the right way, and he comes across as racist, but there is some common sense it really taking a harder look at who we allow into the country.
With the collapse of MLPs, who are the buyers of mature conventional assets now? For example, Denbury has an asset package now of mature established CO2 floods in Mississippi. Reasonably steady 7,000+ bbl/d with minimal upside. The best thing is to buy and hold. It generates a pretty steady $5 million per month of free cash flow. Who are the buyers for something like that?
It’s awesome. I rank my favorite five ryes like this.
Van Winkle Family Reserve Rye
Kentucky Owl
Thomas H. Handy
Midwinter Nights Dram
Michters 10 Rye
I like these over Boss Hog and Sazerac 18. I have a bottle of Bookers Rye, but I haven’t opened it.
