Most delayed accusations involve a story surrounding the idea that the victim was all alone in feeling that they were assaulted and were embarrassed and unwilling to say anything because it makes people, but especially women, feel like they’re tainted or that they did something wrong, and they carry a lot of shame. Only when they find out that this person was victimizing other people are they willing to come forward - in a group setting which is obviously much easier to do than going it alone.
Spending does not equal trying to win, but still, did not expect us to be this high on the list. Figured we were hoping to apply the “Patriot way” to Deshaun’s holdout, tank hard, and try to shortcut an exit from the Bill O’Brien school of deconstruction.
You, and apparently a lot of people on this board, have a lot to learn about the very complex dynamics of sexual assault and how victims react to it. Not saying the allegations are true, but your first paragraph shows you don’t know enough to be a loud voice on the subject. Sexual assault is rarely a reasonable scenario.
Tyrod deal not bad really, but that aside, signings have been generally not bad. I’m surprised at the not badness of the overall quality of the deals. Thought we were in full on tank mode.
You don’t declare yourself injured in NFL. Team doctor does. Some of you thinking players have ANY power in the NFL structure need to go take another look at the moose out front.
Keep in mind we don’t actually know they’re not listening to offers. They might leak that to put interested parties on notice that the price is a King’s ransom, and Watson’s agent, who’s been leaking more shit than a barrel shroud used as a toilet drain, might out that out there to continue to embarrass the Texans.
Considering the package Watson will demand, there’s probably a time limit related to this happening before the draft. Texans need picks now, and other teams may pick a QB in the draft if they can’t get Watson, then, might not offer enough for him after the draft pick is made.
