  1. It was a helluva a run and it was an honor and privilege to attend the ones I did. My favorite one will always be the one where @RGBIII grabbed the mic and began ranting. You sat silently the entire game watching (I think this was the 5-7 year and loss to Kansas) and spoke not a word and finally after about two hours said “God Damnit” and @RGBIII stumbles in from the game and says “give me the fucking mic Rick” and proceeds to go off on the most glorious rant ever for ten minutes as those passing by listened with amazement. I will never forget it! 🤘 most fun I’ve ever had at any tailgate while watching my team lose.
  2. 30 year old Josh Allen (Superman yes but 30 and a new dad) + new stadium + table flipping fans + shitty GM Ravens are dealing with a 29 year old Lamar and odd injury reports the last two years + fairly stable organization both of those QBs should have more hardware at this point and whoever gets them now is getting them now on a downward slope of their careers. I thought of all the openings Falcons and Giants were the best ones and Harbaugh already locked up the Giants. From an organization standpoint a HC cannot ask for more support than the Steelers but they need a QB. But the support is there. I don’t blame everything on Sean McDermott but nine years is like the benchmark. If you cannot win by then as a HC you may never do it. So it’s ok to move off the guy. I would hire McDaniel no (s) for the Bills job. If anyone can get the most out of an aging Josh or an aging Lamar it’s him but the DC has to be lights out.
  3. Of all the topics on this board…Wingo is the linchpin that turns this into a legit fight club?
  4. I do think he might have been rehabilitated via the Steelers but maybe not. The Steelers as solid as an organization as they are never really did much offensively. But yeah Stroud seems to be trending into Fields territory. Which is NOT good. HC’s getting their asses handed to them lately and Sean McDermott now fired. I LOVE the Texans HC but Stroud is going to eventually get him fired if they don’t do something drastic or different soon.
  5. I really felt like Stroud had broken the long ass string of Ohio State QBs that quite frankly have not panned out (one due to tragedy) well as starters. The attitude thing bothers a lot of people. I mean the whole him telling one year younger Caleb he will be great some day is hilarious. I like the idea of bringing in Quinn, trading for Burrow, bringing in the best OC for Stroud (but will that fix the attitude he has) or hate this one…cuz there will be teams that always suck and that are not tanking bc they suck but there will be some teams that want Arch. Burrow has to get out of Cincy. Look at what happened to Palmer there. They don’t care they have a (oft injured yes) generational talent at QB. They never have and never will spend the money. You can get Quinn for a year and bring in a great OC and QE is hungry and wants to succeed. Keep stroud and do same thing and hope the attitude changes. Or put together a lot of pieces via draft and free agency and trade up for or tank for Arch, I look at Mendoza and I’m like over these QBs with fucking attitudes. You have to have a grown ass man at the role. As talented as AAron was his likely last throw of his career was a pick six. Fitting for a guy who would shake off plays, ignore receivers and do things his way, pick six for the Steelers man. Damn. Tired of the attitude if the production on the field is subpar or mediocre. Watching the panel on ESPN shred him and lose their minds about him sealed it for me. He ain’t a leader. I’d say bundle picks and go get Mendoza but Texans have a couple of holes they will need to fill via draft. Maybe trade his ass to the Jets or Browns? Get some picks? His attitude stinks.
  6. I think they make too many mistakes. Miami is a weird mofo team to me. Let Ole Miss hang around. Only scored ten on aggy. Lost to SMU and Louisville and still hasn’t won their own conference. And the HC match up Cig is clearly better. I think it all goes as Beck goes. We get good Beck we will have a game. And they have talent and speed and strength. I still think the Hoosiers are better coached, don’t make as many mistakes and are a roughly penalty free team and that makes the big difference, to think though we wouldn’t even get to watch Miami if the playoff committee had put ND in. Damn.
  7. I am still looking forward to watching what’s left. Very little football for us to enjoy. Seattle looks crazy good. Darnold can still go INT mode but the Patriots look pretty fierce also. I want to see an NFC Bears v Seattle and I guess we have AFC Patriots v Broncos sans QB. Which to me was shocking. I wasn’t expecting to hear Nix was done in the playoffs. I’d maybe grab Flacco and yes I know my boy Sam is a backup to the backup but Flacco that fucker can still throw.
  8. What a disappointing depressing game. At least the Texans made it. I don’t know what happened to Stroud but the ESPN broadcast ripped him repeatedly. It sucks but just need to upgrade some weapons. I would have replaced Stroud in the second half. Maybe even sooner and I don’t know what his future is but clearly something ain’t right. Patriots are sadly the better team. Maye is the better QB. Texans will be back. And we know the Cowboys won’t. Texans may need to think about getting a veteran to run the team QB wise I guess. Damn. My uncle passed away last weekend and the Texans were his team but winning this game wouldn’t have matter with the shit Stroud is doing out there.
  9. Glad for all of you for all the wonderful portal news. I just found out my uncle passed away today so I won’t be in y’all’s hair.
  10. This must be the same Bama fan who said they’d kick the shit out of Indiana. Smart fan.
  11. I need a fat lane Kiffin picture just in case 😉
  12. To be fair, Drake Stoops (for a nepo kid) played lights out for OU.
  13. It’s amazing the level of bitchatude these fans of schools have now that the portal has made everyone about as close to equal as we can be. I expect Kirby to be out on midfield every damn play this year.
  14. And in many ways I am here for it. It truly puts the onus on the Coaches to do their thing. Many here have felt the recruiting rankings were overrated when we lose and now you are taking a PROVEM player on the CF stage to your team. If they stagnate or fail the eyes are where they should be: a team’s HC and his staff. It helps teams jettison a mediocre HC that isn’t the one. It’s good for the sport despite all the handwringing. It allows the Oregon States of the world to compete as well. I am all for ridding the college universe of shit coaches that fail upwards. The portal is as close as an equalizer as it gets. There is still a healthy pipeline for recruits but the emphasis shouldn’t be on a 18-19 year old to carry the team. Or be great out of the gate. I dig it.
  15. Thats why they hand out programs. Fans go to see Texas as a collective.
  16. Yes and I get it we destroyed the portal the past 24 hours but crowing about it before we have played a snap is for us fans to do not our GM.
  17. No excuses just win the whole damn thing.
  18. People can disagree but this is why I love the portal. Sure it’s amazing to get 5 star recruits but as many have said they may not pan out or they might leave. I know change is hard to accept but if you don’t you are Dabo the past few years or Gundy. If the ultimate goal is getting to the playoffs and winning in them relying on recruits will not get it done. Not when there are proven players who get it done that can be lured from their programs.
  19. He’s a cryptic mofo. He either sounds like he’s getting ready to fire someone or burn down the SEC.
  20. I mean if you cannot beat the best this is the kind of shit that happens when the “best” isn’t on the field. It’s like Lamar. I love Lamar. That last loss to Pittsburgh wasn’t on him in the end. But he disappears in the post season and he’s not in it but it’s funny listening to some commentators compare Allen to Lamar as though if Lamar were in the playoffs he’d be a challenge.
  21. Even Nantz is feeling it. Brady is world’s better.
  22. Josh Allen may need a new hand. I keep forgetting he’s like the T1000 though.
  23. So when does Aggie bolt to the ACC?
