  1. Soylent Green is PEOPLE! It's PEOPLE!
  2. I think internet advertisers still typically pay based on a "clicks per page" basis. Once you have clicked on a page, they count your visit. If they then throw a block up wanting you to register or subscribe, so much the better. Even if you immediately hit the Back button, your click is still counted. I've noticed recently that a lot of British media websites linked by Drudge are doing that. They're getting the clicks even if you're not reading their story.
  3. How do you go from "Pilot accidentally hit Panic Button" to "Three Guys with Knives"? Seriously.
  4. I think he meant that 3tsps = 1 tbsp so why would you use both instead of going for consistency in your measurements. (But I could be wrong - it's happened once before.)
  5. Don't have to tip?
  6. Roegel's is usually excellent and Russell and Misty are fine people. Sides suck but who cares?
  7. Running thread of cops of color assaulting white people for everyday stuff... thread is thataway. Oh...wait...
  8. If the God of your choice had meant for humans to be herbivores, He/She/Zer would have put our eyes on the sides of our heads. It's science yo.
  9. If you slightly cross your eyes, like you do for those magic 3d pictures, this is even more hilarious/terrifying. (/CaptainObvious?)
  10. Yuli is close to Yogi and the whole team made a booboo so...
  11. Brokeback Causeway? (nttawwt)
  12. Can we assume that each of your missives will end with a rousing OU SUX ?
  13. I'd eat that.
  14. Do not go gentle into that good night Rage, Rage against the dying of the light.
  15. Phrasing!
  16. Let's go...
  17. Are those your assless chaps hanging on the back your chair?
  18. Are the Nats stealing signs? 😉
  19. Oh for fuck's sake! He didn't say anything that should "frighten" a strong, confident, feminist sports reporter who feels entitled to be in a men's locker room. If those women were offended and "frightened" by some business office buffoon saying he's glad we have the best closer in baseball, then they shouldn't be in the fucking locker room. "I'm glad we got Osuna" wouldn't have "frightened" Ann Richards, it wouldn't have "frightened" Barbara Jordan and it wouldn't have "frightened" my grandmother. Why does everyone have to be a victim these days? Grow a pair gals! You're embarrassing yourselves. (If necessary, please move to the Unpopular Opinions thread.)
  20. I don't ever hear it so I don't know. I either listen to classic rock in my car or my iPod. I have a classic 30Gb with about 1000 songs on it. I've been listening to it on shuffle for fifteen years. I also have about 1000 albums on my computer but I rarely listen to that anymore either. What cracks me up is all of the classic rock being used to sell dishwashing soap and luxury cars. Our parents thought it was so subversive 45 years ago. At least they're not showing "Elvis' pelvis" - amirite?
  21. Bad analogy. You can look at a photo of some sliced brisket and still know it's dry as fuck. You can read an interview with the trendiest and hippest pit master in Dallas and as soon as he says "Marinate your brisket overnight in Liquid Smoke" you can form an opinion. While I appreciate your posts, (wink wink say no more), your take on this is just wrong and frankly a bit heavy handed given the circumstances. Lighten up Francis. CMan didn't claim to know everything - he did the opposite of that.
  22. I kinda feel bad for Kansas. Is that wrong?
  23. Springer Dinger!
  24. Corn meal for fried chicken? No. For your first attempt, use a deep skillet and add a half inch of veg oil, corn oil, or ideally, Crisco. Use boneless chicken tenders. Much easier than a whole bone in chicken and the kids will love them. Beat two eggs with a half cup of milk. In another bowl, add mix one cup of flour and one cup of panko or plain bread crumbs Heat oil to 350' (usually 4 or 5 on the stove), and season the tenders liberally with S&P and then dip them in the egg wash and the roll them in the flour mix. Fry until crisp turning once. Or twice whetever it takes. Serve with Whataburger Honey Mustard Sauce, available at your local HEB, (if you can catch it open). Do that a couple of times and then you can graduate to legs and bone in thighs. Cooking with kids is a great way to spend time with them and give them valuable life skills.
