  1. Fun to see us get to the basket at will. Lively and Gafford going off again.

Which industry did you switch to?
  3. This team has taken on the demeanor of their coach. Hands in pockets, no emotion, and just out there going through the motions. I can't believe Kidd has lasted as long as he has here.
  4. Totally agree with this. The amount of minutes we're running Maxi out there is just stupid. He played 26 minutes against Philly and got 2....2 points. It's not an isolated game either. Here are his last 5 games.
  5. Nico is doing fine given the shit hand he was dealt. They have a decent roster now that is more talented than the one they made it to the WCF with. Time to cut the cord on Kidd, though, or I will call for Nico to go as well. Dude just brings nothing to the table. Not being a top 6 seed with this bunch just isn’t okay.
  6. Nice bounce back. This is one of the rare times it was good to have a game the very next night.

Mckinnie with a pair of assists today.

What a disaster of a loan move. Would have been better off sticking with BVB. Bottom of the prem is not a good place to be or develop. Maybe our guys will learn that after this one.

Got my tickets for USA-Bolivia at Jerry world. Haven't been to a match in years. They were pretty reasonably priced surprisingly.
  11. I’ve been as big a pessimist in this thread as anyone, but I think we have something with this roster. Still Exum to return as well.
  12. 6 game win streak heading into the break. Still a decent shot at the 5 seed. Would need a lot of help getting above that.
  13. Yea I think he’s playing himself out of minutes if that continues. He’s in a very bad way at the moment and we now have options. Still won even if it was ugly. I don’t think anyone was predicting a 5-game winning streak 10 days ago. we need to stop playing THJ and Hardy at the same time. It’s not pretty.
  14. The roster upgrades are obvious. We are way longer and more athletic. And we will still get Lively and Exum back. This team can do some damage post all star break.
  15. I’m kind of meh on Dinwiddie at this point. I guess he could be a decent fill-in when KI inevitably gets hurt again, but I’m not really interested in him playing a ton of meaningful minutes.
  16. Good win. Nice to see KI back out there. THJ with a (Im)perfect game. 0-5 from 3 and 0-8 overall.
  17. The team building issue started in 2019 when they went "all-in" to get KP. That deal is still killing them from having any meaningful draft assets to use. Then they traded Harrison Barnes, who could have been a very good 3rd option, for cap space and then proceeded to not do a damn thing with it. Then the Brunson mishap. They've just stacked so many bad choices on top of one another that there just isn't a good way out. An underrated one was not getting a fucking draft pick when Carlisle went to the Pacers. We just let him walk to another team without any compensation. Then, to make things even greater, they decided to hire a mediocre coach with a mediocre track record and, shockingly, they are getting mediocre results. The roster mismanagement is not Kidd's fault, but he is a clown and this team should have a way better record than it does despite the injuries. I think Nico is doing a decent job with the hand he was dealt. Lively is a huge win and I think OMax will be a player in a couple of years. The roster is better than it was last season, there just isn't a quick fix to this. They're going to have to keep drafting well and make decent upgrades via trade. They actually have young, tradeable players now which is a huge upgrade compared to the past few years. The only thing that's fixable this season is the coach. That needs to happen.
  18. I’m just done with the status quo. If firing Kidd pisses off Luka, so be it. This dude is a clown.

His last injury in the Nations League was a contact injury. I'm not questioning his physicality necessarily. I'm questioning if the frantic nature of play the premier league, especially a bottom dweller, is going to lead to good results. He's going to hold onto the ball great and some schmuck is absolutely going to "get stuck in" on him.

It's the physicality combined with the pace. The pace of Seria A or La Liga seems like a way better fit IMO. Like you said, though, beggars can't be choosers. I would expect NF to go full bunker ball as the season goes on and they're just looking to survive. Not sure how much that's going to help Gio's development.

Welp.... Oft injured player goes to one of the roughest leagues. What could possibly go wrong?

I don't know much about Fiorentina's roster, but that would be the move I'd want for him as I think his style is better suited for Italy or Spain. Fiorentina is currently in 6th and battling for a top 4 spot.
  23. This is so Mavs. Luka with 41 points at halftime…and the game is tied. How is that even possible?
