  1. A smart organization would go 0-5 to actually have a chance to improve the roster. So that means the Mavs will try to go 3-2 and give the #11 pick to the Knicks.
  2. All the fears when Kidd was hired are coming to fruition in basically half a season. If he misses the play-in game with a top 5 player in the league, I don't see how it's possible you keep him, but Mavs probably going to Mavs. The treatment of Wood this year has been embarrassing. Yes, he has flaws, but if you don't score 120 per night, you're going to lose. 12 minutes for Wood is beyond puzzling.
  3. Man…don’t know what else to say. Was watching the Longhorns on one screen and saw Mavs on the other and just totally lost interest in the Mavs. This team is rotten to the core. Kidd is not the only problem but that’s the only problem you can fix now. He’s not the guy. Clear as day.
  4. They finally hit a buzzer beater. Feels like they’ve missed like 10 of those this year. And somehow they’re back as the 6th seed which, of course, means they’ll lose the next game and drop to 9th.
  5. Those last three plays by Maxi might be the worst stretch of plays I’ve ever seen to close a game. And he’s supposed to be our calm veteran. Still amazing to me that Hardy couldn’t find any minutes earlier in the year and that Javale can’t even find significant minutes against a G-Leauge team. At least nobody died.
  6. It’s a shame we farted away the whole season not taking advantage of teams with depleted rosters. It’s also a shame we completely whiffed on two big men over the off-season—or at least didn’t get two big men the coach likes. Either way, if we miss the playoffs, Kidd should be fired. You don’t have a MVP candidate and miss the playoffs. I don’t care about last year.
  7. I just can't believe how easily a team like Utah, who was missing multiple starters tonight, absolutely torched us. I actually felt better after the loss to Phoenix than I did after the win last night. I have no idea what to expect from them tonight against NO.
  8. Well, a win is a win but man this team is flawed. Yet now they are up to the 5th seed after going 3-3 on this home stand. What a strange year.
  9. This team is an absolute embarrassment on defense. The Jazz have maybe 2 players I’ve ever heard of playing tonight and they are scoring at will. Is there seriously nobody on the street better than this?
  10. Took my almost 5-year-old to his first game tonight. Brought the good vibes back. Kiddo is 1-0.
  11. I hate to say it but I'm leaning that way as well. I'm also tired of the Luka theatrics. He's not a 20-year-old kid anymore, it's time to grow up and just play basketball.
  12. Jason Kidd showing his warts this season. It obviously isn't all on him, but dang dude, use your freaking timeouts when teams are going on huge runs against you. Dude actually said in his press conference that he's only watching the games just like us. Ummmm what?

Leeds with another bad loss. Shaping up to be a disaster for our guys.
  14. This is now a fun group to watch without Luka. Lots of youth, ball movement, and more fast breaks.
  15. Reggie Bullock is officially out of any slump he was in.
  16. This thread is going about as expected. In actual news, Kyrie makes his debut tonight against LAC.
  17. What does it cost to convey this year, though? Knicks aren’t just going to do us a favor.

Pep Guardiola seems to think he has something. I think he's probably a little more qualified than you in player evaluations.

Man...biggest cycle in our history and we have nobody at the top. What a bizarre time we're in.

These camps are what they are, but definitely would like to see Cowell, Zendejas, and Vasquez in for the next camp. I really wasn't impressed with anyone on defense except for a few spells from Dejuan Jones. An aside, it's maddening to see so may empty seats, but then you look at the prices to come out and watch a B/C team and it makes sense. Why not just make the most expensive seats $100-150 instead of $700? For example, if I was local and wanted to take my son to the game, is it really worth it to drop $400 on something like this?

Count me as one who would be very disappointed in a Leeds move for WM. If Juventus weren't in the toilet and this was going down, I think we'd all be pretty perplexed he was going to a relegation candidate. I'd much rather him go to Tottenham or Arsenal if those rumors are true.
  23. That drive hurt but putting much blame on the defense, outside of Diggs for being soft, is pretty off IMO. Even including that drive, the defense gave up 3.5 yards per carry to a very good running team. Bottom line in this game is their QB outplayed our QB. That's it.

Wow that seems like a pretty big deal. Berhalter can't be far behind, right? Right?!
