I'm not a college sports conspiracy guy. But I do wonder if Texas is seen as an unwelcome SEC party crasher, despite the eyeballs and dollars we deliver. It sounds crazy to ask if resentment has affected anything, but I'm curious if something other than unlucky coin flips might explain our WBB scheduling thus far. On a related note, once you get past Geno, the obvious 800-pound gorilla, is there perhaps a bit of subtle discrimination against male coaches in WBB these days? I've wondered at times. We're now in a league whose coaching hierarchy features WBB's two highest-profile women, plus Ralph and a few others on the rise. Vic is obviously old school and perhaps viewed as a curmudgeonly relic. @Panchohas mentioned the push toward having only women as referees, so it wouldn't stun me to learn there's at least a little pushback against male coaches and their programs both in the SEC and elsewhere. Now I'll hang up and listen to those who know far more about what, if anything, is actually going on.
