  1. Should have just walked her. But I'm glad they didn't.
  2. I wonder how practice went today.
  3. Good sir, I'll have you know l've been crashing out after every Texas loss in every sport since the late '60s. That's a lot of crashes.
  4. He's not wrong. I felt going in that if we held Blakes to her average, we'd have a really good chance. We didn't...and we didn't. I don't recall stats from the SCe game, but that's now at least two of three losses in which Rori has been neutralized. Hope Vic can figure out some way to keep her leadership and tenacity out there against other contenders. Bri clearly isn't the player Rori is, though she does have an obvious size advantage. Not that it would necessarily help much this year, but the suggested move of Booker back to PG next season should be on the table.
  5. Let's see what happens in the portal. Our incoming freshmen are a pretty athletic group.
  6. We can't make a shot outside 12 feet and not many inside that. Harmon's not a factor, and Carlton's a spectator. It's a wonder we're not down 40.
  7. We're inferior in every phase of this game. Lose by 10 and I'll consider it a pretty heroic rally.
  8. Blakes is the best offensive player in America. She alone makes them a legit Final Four threat. You just have to shut down the rest of them while playing efficiently. Which is the opposite of what we've done so far. Edit: Where's Carlton?
  9. If you can't shoot on the road, you usually lose. If you can't shoot, defend or rebound, you usually lose big.
  10. Girl was next to worthless about half the time in burnt orange. Now she suddenly can't miss. Lock them down now.
  11. Nap time's over, ladies. Vic will be down to his skivvies by the quarter break.
  12. Tech now up 3-1, B5
  13. Not sure why we're struggling against Kevin Kline and his Amish sidekick.
  14. Thanks. I knew she went there but couldn't recall why. Of course, better money/title is pretty much the default answer on voluntary coaching moves.
  15. I see Terry Crawford is returning to be honored at this year's Texas Relays. Someone refresh me on why she left Austin after a monster run of success with the women's program back in the day.
  16. I agree...from Georgia. 😝
  17. Not saying Vandy's on the level of those elite teams, but they're in the conversation. Blakes is freaky good and always gives them a chance.
  18. Stewie likely will break all of Reese's program records. That will take some doing, but she should be in position to do it. The main thing hurting her RBI quest is the fact Reese often flushes all the ducks off the pond.
  19. Stewie remains who she's always been: a prototypical slugger. It's her obvious value to this team full of talented gloves, and I doubt she'd claim otherwise. That said, I'll always appreciate the couple clutch plays she made in LF last postseason. Hopefully this is the year she stays locked in offensively from start to finish.
  20. Interesting move by White to slam the door with Wells. Say hi to the next bellcow.
  21. For Corn, losing to Texas by a football score is familiar territory.
  22. "Moonshot." And it's not even portal season.
  23. The impact of Vivi's return can hardly be overstated. She's a hitting machine.
  24. I hate good ratings.
  25. And both were unconscious to start, meaning they made virtually no FGs after LSU surged ahead in the middle of Q1. Not quite how you'd draw up a Texas W, especially with our bigs having foul trouble — but Crump and Sidberry were huge, and our team D was so good we didn't need to score a ton.
