  1. If Paxton comes for them, they might. They don’t like the olds.
  2. He probably shouldn't be threatening school funding when a bunch of high schoolers are hitting voting age.
  3. I'm guessing Comer backs down and doesn't call him in (some bullshit reason about why it can't be public). Trump will not be happy if this hits the public eye and Clinton walks away from it relatively undamaged (the damage was done long ago). The fact that Patel's FBI was threatening Massie's staff speaks volumes about how much they want this to go away.
  4. Yeah, I've been somewhat avoiding this stuff lately because there's been a streak of really graphic stuff. It doesn't necessarily bother me, just every now and then I take a break. A shitload of drones just absolutely hunting Russians down.
  5. Fuck, same thing I had, except mine was caught early enough that it didn't spread. Younger than me too.
  6. Yeah, removal from office is not happening any time soon, but the whole "quiet quitting" thing is real, and the Democrat-run House on its own has the ability to completely derail his administration next year. It's funny how the Epstein stuff on its own should have been enough, but it's not, and MAGA politicians for the most part, aren't even touching it. And having the Clintons coming into the House spoiling for a fight is going to be some must-see TV. It could very well be completely overwhelming for Republican politicians though, and we just haven't seen the full effects yet. I think we hit a tipping point for many Republicans. In hindsight, the tipping point could have been the Greenland bullshit and Venezuela (and you never realize the tipping point until afterward). Trump caved hard on both things, and Republicans were making it very clear that Greenland was too far. Venezuela, he had to back off on boots on the ground (and it's clear that very early on he was told no boots on the ground), and so we are getting played by Venezuela's new leader. Republican politicians were probably sweating over the idea of American soldiers literally dying to protect Chevron or Exxon pipelines in South America. While Greenland could have been the tipping point, if it wasn't, it was definitely the ICE bullshit. It all comes down to internal polling - where does the amount of support you get for supporting Trump get drowned out by energizing people to vote against you (or for Republicans to stay home)?
  7. Yep And it came together fast
  8. Lest we forget, Kid Rock has a little song about underage girls and statutory rape, so it's completely on brand for MAGA to pick him.
  9. That's why I think their best bet is to start holding lots of hearings about Epstein starting this time next year, calling Trump and all of the other people in the files onto the carpet. Make sure and get Maxwell in there a lot. Also get ICE in there on why they are going after Americans. And get Patel and Judge Jeanine in there to explain their comments on firearms (as well as that assistant USDA). They can easily drag that into 2028.
  10. Only 67, I'm sure he wants to spend time with his family. Him being on the House Appropriations Committee, including overseeing funding for Homeland Security, I'm sure that has nothing to do with it. Or his recent comments that immigration enforcement isn't "in a good place right now". Nevada Rep. Mark Amodei is 30th House GOP member to not seek reelection
  11. To be fair, I digitize/restore photos and videos on the side, so I have a need for a lot of storage. The prices are annoying though, as I'd like to increase my space - my main NAS has 20TB+ storage (6x 6TB high-end drives) but I can improve my workflow and knock some space down.
  12. Geez, those aggy dorks were wearing those boots a century ago. Turdition!
  13. Well, some of them make it to Thailand or the Philippines to pick up the wife they bought online.
  14. Yes. And chills, aching all over, just feeling like hammered shit. Thankfully the fever was fairly brief. There was a 12-hour or so stretch where I didn't want to move. I would find a position on the couch and then not move for hours. I was mostly functional within 24 hours. But the alternative is a helluva lot worse.
  15. So the Fortnite thing was somebody spoofing an account using his YouTube handle
  16. They/Trump are openly talking about taking Diego Garcia by military force, although we may have gotten another TACO.
  17. If you're that low to the ground, you ain't gotta dodge shit, it'll go right over you. Also, don't feed Huffines after midnight, and don't get water on him. Shine a bright light on him if you do either of those things.
  18. Paxton had a really nasty divorce and the papers went public I believe, as did who he was allegedly banging. Cornyn is "safe" for them, so I bet it will be closer, plus if Paxton loses any support (somebody mentioned he did), it could be enough. Saw them in December in North Texas.
  19. That's my theory. The Greenland shit, the tariff war, the ICE bullshit stopping Americans and asking for their papers and trying to enter properties without warrants, Trump and the FBI head's comments about guns (not to mention Judge Jeanine), and all of the Epstein stuff. Politicians in Congress are driven in part by their internal polling, because a lot have a 24/7 campaign mindset, and it's especially true of House members, who barely get 6-9 months of breathing room after an election before they are right back to campaigning. Trump is hurting in the polls as a whole, compared to 6 months ago. My guess is that their pollsters are asking the kinds of questions that shape what they gain by defying Trump vs what they gain defending him. They are also looking at what the Democrats can do when/if they get control of Congress. The Democrats don't have to necessarily impeach Trump either - they can have a big-ass hearing on the Epstein files, invite a bunch of victims up to give their testimony, get Maxwell in there, get a bunch of rich people, FBI agents, and call Trump up to testify (he won't ) and boom you've got must-watch TV all the way through 2027 and into 2028, and put Republicans on the record over the Epstein files. Don't impeach Trump and let Vance in there and let the GOP potentially rebuild ahead of 2028-2032, just fucking sideline him with Epstein hearings, make him constantly defend that shit or try to distract us with insane shit that chips away even more at his support, with the threat of impeachment hanging over his head and he'll come to heel. TACO everybody! Trump has been absolutely chipping away at Republican favorability in some form or another over the past 6 months, and each major thing seems a little worse than the last. This feels like death by a thousand paper cuts. I doubt he's getting wild swings among various groups at this point, but instead every little stupid thing chips away a tiny little more until whatever threshold they have is reached, and it may have been reached. You really can't defend that "meme" since whoever originally made the video probably had a singular goal of figuring out how to slap the Obamas's faces onto a pair of primates and people know it.
  20. You can at least try and unfuck the babysitter, the nanny, the lawn guy, the crew replacing the roof next door, the DoorDash delivery driver, the mailwoman who works your neighborhood, the groomer at Petsmart, the checker working the #5 lane at the Hancock HEB, and the saleswoman at the Verizon store. I mean, you can't do it. But you can at least try.
  21. Oh please, you're acting like Trump was President when the Venezuelans hacked our voting machines and gave the election to Biden.
  22. Better than a modest proposal, I guess.
