I remember the whole family gathered around the radio in the kitchen listening to the game. I was a 9 year old punk. Screamed like a little girl when Spreyer caught the TD pass. Good memories.
The 6th Street Cowboy guy is great. My daughter became friends with him a few years ago. She was married off S 1st last year and Sam came by with two horse. My daughter and new son-in-law rode off into the sunset (well, S Congress and S 1st area). It was hilarious. (My daughter and SIL are both in the horse industry in Kentucky so made complete sense.)
No. It's been the process since the AD "Who Shall Not Be Mentioned" ran UT athletics into the ground. I'm old, but seems fair to me. Been buying season tickets and donating to LHF since mid-80's. I should get credit for giving them money through the shitty years. Demand is just much higher this year so some people that used to get tickets are locked out.
Hate 11am home games. But glad Kentucky is at night. Daughter (no pics - UK grad but UT fan) is a bloodstock agent (look it up!). She'll be working the Keeneland horse auction that day. She could only go if it's a night game.
It's a blast. I'm planning to attend Keeneland on Friday. Hoping for Saturday night game so also can go to Saturday's meet. But I don't think ESPN gives a fuk about the horse races when determining tv windows.
Wait. I thought winners played 8p game Saturday. Is it the early game? That's what this bracket shows: https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/baseball/d1/2025/regionals/109
Every year, there are only 2 to 6 teams that legit have a case that they are the best team. Usually it's 2 or 3. I know I'm in the minority, but playoffs should be scaled back to 6 teams. Have every game in the regular season matter. DeBoer, your team lost to Vandy. You're out. Ole Miss? You lost to Kentucky. Out. S Carolina, get out of here. You lost three games.
Jonny Jones (Jones Energy) is one of their big donors. Lives in Austin. Donated enough pre-NIL to have one of the entrances to their stadium named after him. Maybe he's not aware of NIL. I won't tell him.
