Probably because the cost to tear up and replace the entire pavement section is obscene. That and the way the soil is out there, it'll have to be done every few years. After the F1 contract, I could totally see it showing up on r/AbandonedPorn one day.
Back to simple 3 liter V10's please, I don't care who makes them. Cosworth would be fine by me. One engine per weekend would still be cheaper than the current formula.
I wish there was some investment made in shade at COTA at the outset. If they had planted some trees and maybe added some kind of covered areas beyond the main GS, that would've been nice. My pale ass gets cooked out there.
Rudy Giuliani's timeline is interesting, I wonder how he will be thought of in the future. He was the hero mayor of NYC during 9/11, now he's the yelling buffoon Dotard lawyer.
It helped that Schumacher had Ross Brawn follow him there. If only Vettel could've had Newey follow him to Ferrari, perhaps there would've been more success.
I definitely get that dead man walking feeling about Vettel @ Ferrari.
Mt Bonnell Rd south was realigned sometime in the past, at least the '90's maybe earlier. I am going to assume Mt Bonnell tourist traffic and wrecks because of the poor sight distance made that necessary. You can still see the old road heading to the south from where the accident happened. Sucks that north Mt Bonnell Rd stayed at the bottom of that hill.
RIP Ced. He was definitely a part of my fav Longhorn teams. Him, VY and DJ were fuckin' beasts.
Also, if you street view his house on W Courtyard, he's standing in the driveway.
I just went to google maps to search "Longview, Tx", I needed to see where Jaguars was. Which one of y'all did this?
