The kid wants to play DL, but he’s a better OL prospect than DL prospect.
If you want to land him you’re going to have to let him play DL even if it may not be his best projected position.
Jamel Johnson was very much the forgotten guy of the class. I’m not too beat up about it, but we do only have 2 DBs committed now and they’re both going to be battles to keep until NSD.
Is McDonald still expected to bulk up and become a LB? Or is he going to stick at safety? If he stays at safety he’s probably an upgrade.
Did a switch flip, or did the coaches just actually start putting him in a position to succeed?
The ineffectiveness of the DTs a year ago was far more of a PK issue than a Coburn/Ojomo/Sweat one.
Back in September, Toviano chose to go to the LSU-Southern game for a visit instead of the Texas-Bama game that was the same day. The writings been on the wall for a while now.
Big time pickup. One down, three to go. Early signing period begins in 4 days, so a lot of decisions should be coming out.
Stojakovic’s mom didn’t come to the visit to Texas but went to the Stanford visit, so that could be a tough one.
Notre Dame is about to flip a WR from Tech. The kid got an offer from ND 2 days ago, decommitted from Tech today, and is visiting ND tomorrow, so I wonder if that's because of Greathouse.
Auburn’s boosters are the worst to deal with in the country, if I’m a coach with options, you’d have to money whip me Jimbo Fisher style to get me to go there. And I’d also need to be near the tail end of my career, because my future prospects will probably be shit after inevitably getting run through and spit out of the Auburn machine. Even the guy who won that modern national championship got spit out two years later and he hasn’t been a head coach since.
Lane Kiffin is an unprofessional asshat whose mouth is bigger than his accomplishments. . Many of the top schools won’t even consider hiring him. People above are mentioning Alabama and Clemson, no way in hell.
And Ole Miss has only beaten two teams with a winning record this year and one of them is Troy.
Regarding the refs, if the administration can’t figure out how to get out of the Big 12 before 2025, then it’s going to be a long long couple of years. This ain’t a surprise.
But despite the screwjob, there we’re still plenty of opportunities to take this game. Sark shit himself in second half again.
He actually ID'ed Moore pretty early and got him committed. Moore just ultimately chose to stay close to home (plus Jeff Brohm was an alumn of his HS, so he had an in), I blame Herman less on this one than I do the others.
He's not going to be a TE. It looked like maybe that was the case a year or two ago, but the way he has developed, he's gonna be a big WR and that's fine.
There are plenty of good big possession WRs in college football. The way this board reacts to those types has become silly. Just because Herman sucked at recruiting that type, doesn't mean they all suck.
