laid down palisades Zoysia 13 days ago and been watering it twice a day since then. i spread new sod food or whatever it's called on the ground before laying it, and then on top after laying it.
how often should i be watering going forward? is there anything else i need to add?
oh also, one of the sprinkler install guys says he saw a coral snake. besides nuking the house, anything i can do to repel them?
we are in final stage of construction. Pool has been plastered and full of water, just waiting on finishing touches on the deck but we are able to swim. i'll post pics once everything is ready.
took 6+ months from dig to now because my supervisor was an idiot, but we've been able to swim the past two weekends and yes, pools are very much worth it.
need advice on which type of sod to get. getting sprinklers installed as we speak and need to lay sod to replace old bermuda in the front and fix the mess left by pool construction in the back.
from everything i've read, palisades zoysia is the one to go with due to the heat in texas. i've never really seen what zoysia looks like though. the back will be fully exposed to sun while the front will have shade of trees part of the day. i really love st augustine though but worried about maintenance.
thoughts?
ha, back in 2000 or 2001 i was at across the street bar the night before the TX OU game, they would just give you pitchers of beer for $2 or something crazy. got hammered and went to stand against the wall with my pitcher in my hand. next to me is this guy hammered as well with his pitcher in his hand.
really cool guy, talked to him for a bit
i don't think it's necessarily that they don't do class rankings. my daughter's high school stopped publishing/announcing rankings but in her senior year (second semester i think) they did provide everyone's ranking. i guess they want to avoid gaming the system?
so they don't take AP courses and you think they're being screwed out of UT? LMAO
everyone who gets accepted into UT has commitments outside school, heck it's a big part of the vetting process (volunteering, band, dance, athletics, etc.)
Exactly. These fucking mouth breathers love to rail against the undocumented population while staying completely fucking silent on Trump employing them in his properties. i'm not having it both ways. I'm a Mexican-born person whose family immigrated to the US and received amnesty in 1986.
I'm well aware of the racism in Mexico, and the hypocrisy of the Mexican government decrying the US treatment of its citizens while they treat Central Americans worse.
i don't know, maybe i'm spit-balling here, perhaps we should hold our country to a higher standard than Mexico. Call me crazy though
i think it's interesting to see other families' budgets as a benchmark. we don't shop whole foods or any fancy places like that, so i would expect my budget to be less than a similar sized family who shops there often.
we do big HEB delivery once a week and costo every other week for non-perishables. I haven't really noticed a huge price increase with delivery versus if we go in-store. we both hate grocery shopping so the delivery tip and whatever markup they're doing is completely worth it to us.
family of 5 we spend about $800-$1000 a month and about $500 or so eating out. we used to eat out a lot but we're cutting back on that. funny how much money we have left over at the end of the month when you don't eat out 3-4 times a week
we talked to some dude from texas at parque de los sueños who got busted for drinking a beer while driving a cart. said it cost a few hundred bucks to get him out.
i don't think it's an issue of driving somewhere, drinking there, and heading back. but if you have a beer on the golf cart the motorcycle cops will bust you.
Isla does not suck.

USA transfers is the consensus for airport to ferry transport correct? booked it and it didn't ask for payment info. it said they're reviewing it for availability and they'll contact me. is this right?
we finally got CoA permit approved two weeks ago and loan closing last week. Dig commenced two days ago and they're making good progress.
construction supervisor said we should be swimming by memorial day
yup, my wife is an AISD teacher. Luckily i work for a great company with great benefits and I added her to my plan for less than what she would pay for a shittier plan at AISD
