Happens from time to time in leagues where half the teams make the playoffs. The 1981 Rockets went 40-42 and took the Celtics to 6 games in the NBA Finals.

I still think it’s really odd that nobody close to the Astros has reported a thing on this. It’s just been this national guy and some local podcast kids. Not a word from Berman, McTaggert, etc…
Completely on board with fewer champagne celebrations. Pennant and WS makes sense. No other sport has formal locker room celebrations for every advanced step through the playoffs. MLB teams formally celebrate division clinches (or WC clinch), play-in game wins, LDS win, LCS win, and WS win. That’s 5 go-bonkers type parties in a 4 week stretch.
I’ve scoured Twitter (🤮 don’t recommend it) and all “rumblings” are completely based on one tweet from that Bolen dude. It’s just endless comments and lazy retweets based on that dude’s tweet.
I’m not saying things aren’t possible. McCullers could have decided to throw a bone to a dude he kinda thinks is a good dude worthy of a bone, but worst case scenario type news is sketchy AF right now.
Having a guy on your podcast and being an information insider are quite different things. As of now, no one of substance is running with what would be pretty major MLB breaking news in mid October.
I feel like Correa ends up somewhere random and a a little odd, like Machado to SD, Springer to Toronto, or Bryce Harper to Philly. Odd being defined as not Boston or any of the LA or NY teams.

I never watch shows. Never. I stopped 20 years ago. For some weird fucking reason I watched all ten hours of this shit and I might never watch shows again.
It was a great story, and one that needs to be told, but I loathe how Gameday has turned into continuous stories that are more befitting for Oprah. It’s like they put out a search for every player linked to cancer, suicide, homicide, etc… every producer uses Gameday as their chance to win an Emmy. Gameday is unwatchable in stretches as the late Saturday morning CFB pep rally it used to be.
