I had free tickets to a Better Than Ezra show at Numbers in Houston in the early 2000’s and liked the show enough to catch them again at a some HOB shows over the years. Good band that puts on a good live show.
Good enough endorsement for the wife and I to give it a shot. Thanks. Have you tried Chez Nous in Humble? Very unassuming small house in an old neighborhood type place that’s fantastic and typically calls for reservations a good bit in advance. We really enjoyed it.

Steven Soderbergh took Raiders, replaced the original score with the Social Network score, then made it black and white as a way to deep dive into the sequencing and cutting patterns used by Spielberg and was blown away by how perfectly constructed it is.

Mac joins Judge Harold T. Stone, Selma and Flo in the highest court of them all. Passed away this week at the age of 75. Houston native and Wheatley HS grad. Also responsible for the epic “That’s a penis” gif.
I always thought of it as a wordmark logo specific to the football team and kinda liked it. I love this newer look and it’s uniformity with the Texas athletic brand, but will forever associate the former with Ricky Williams and the awesome Mack Brown years.
The Cowboys silver/greenish pants are a permanent buzz topic on most all logo/design type boards. I strongly remain in the camp that the current look is iconic and contributes to their glamourous image. The Cowboys are in the golden triumvirate of NFL jewel franchises with Pittsburgh and Green Bay, but neither of those are comparable to the Lakers and Yankees in… pizzazz?
I’m fully aware of the origins of the silver/greenish look and it’s silliness to be applied in today’s HD age, but don’t care. We have an example of matching the silvers and it’s Kansas State, which is a fantasticly consistent in striping and coloring, but almost the opposite of glamour. It’s a workmanlike brand.
Disclaimer: Houston guy that doesn’t like the Cowboys, but not one of those types that’s weird about Dallas stuff.
