  1. Yep-that's the "Grand Old Man of Medicine" phenomenon. I guess I've got a little of that-I plan to practice until I am at least seventy because it's all I know how to do any more. I like it, it keeps me engaged, and I'm still pretty good at it. I am, however, looking forward to my wife's retirement.
  2. Couple of years ago, I made a five a.m. coffee run while vacationing on SPI. As I was crossing Gulf boulevard with my two cups of joe, a white-haired dude came riding up the street on a chopper-style bicycle. When he drew even, I could see that all he was wearing was a white body thong. At that very moment, I understood retirement.

  8. https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a20199550/chip-gaines-completes-silo-district-marathon/ While wearing his signature tool belt, Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines completed his first marathon in 5:21:54 at the inaugural Silo District Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K on Sunday morning in Waco, Texas. The performance marked a lifetime achievement for the 43-year-old HGTV personality and a massive fundraising effort for cancer research thanks to a collaboration with Gabriele Grunewald, a cancer survivor and professional runner. The final mile was completed with his youngest daughter, Emmie Kay, 8, who held his hand as the pair crossed the finish line to a roaring crowd on Webster Avenue.

  12. The guy's had a great career, and I'm sorry to see it derail like this. He graduated from Levelland High, South Plains College, and rose to a pretty high position. I wouldn't have made the trip anyway, but hope he recovers his dignity and his reputation.
  13. Disney Springs is legit. Try the Edison Bar or Homecomin'. The Boathouse is also an excellent choice. The shopping is pretty unique and tons of live free street performers. The last time I went, we listened in on chamber music, bluegrass, contemporary music, and the obligatory Buffett cover dude.
  14. Do they offer dermatology services in prison?
  15. So that was cool.

Tomorrow, he'll be rich enough to go down town, find a rat, and pay him a quarter to gnaw that thing off his face. Good day, ma'am.
