  2. Ed O failed miserably at Ole Miss and had no proven coaching history. He appeared on the verge of failing at LSU as well, I mean two years ago they lost to some Sun Belt team named Troy in Baton Rogue and played in that Camping World bowl we're dreading hoping Texas isn't a part of. Believe me I'm as steamed as anyone about the 2019 season that was completely squandered. With a competent OC/DC and a secondary coach who can teach those kids to properly tackle and make a play on the ball things could be better in 2020. Baylor lucked out with their hire, they could easily be back to where they were before Briles.
  3. Pot meet kettle. The ironic thing is that you've been acting like a know it all with your speculation of the 2020 play calling before an OC has been named and the staff has been finalized. You're literally the only poster in this thread that is enraged. Chill out.
  4. The Ogre received tons of flak for underachieving. He switched things up and it worked out for him. Sometimes it's a hit, sometimes it's a miss. At least Herman isn't entering a lame duck season with the same play callers and assistants. You can't label it as a throw away before the replacements are even named and a single game has been played. Texas could go 6-6 next season or 11-1 nobody knows what is going to transpire.
  5. Get a grip. Herman is displaying the testicular fortitude to change things up on a level that Mack refused to do throughout his entire tenure. There will be two new play callers and I have a gut feeling Herman isn't finished yet. I don't understand why you're criticizing him for following through with what the vast majority of the board wanted trimming off the fat. If it fails then it fails, oh fucking well we've dealt with a decade of misery what's one more year?
  6. I didn't believe MENSA had the balls to clean house, but he's doing it.

That's an impressive list of players to join. The funny thing about it is he's playing behind a shoddy OL and still putting up elite numbers.

I'm legitimately shocked by this. I figured MENSA would've retained Orlando and blamed injuries. Orlando is one of the highest paid coordinators in the country and he wasn't getting it done, good riddance. Charlie Strong for DC? I kid, I kid.

Derrick Henry has been a bad ass since the end of last season.
  10. Slo'Neal displaying his elite closing speed.
  11. LSU's defense isn't even good this season and the best the aggy could muster in the first quarter was 26 yards of offense and 0 points. You know damn well LSU isn't going to relent, they'll put up 100 points if they can after what transpired with the crooked officiating last season.
  12. The first team above .500 the Spurs have defeated all season and it's Kawhi's team.....mega lulz.

Could you imagine Leach getting into it with Kirk Bohls and Chip Brown? Haha!

From 10-2 to 7-6 to what appears to be 4-8......coach potato has USF trending in the right direction. Willie Taggart left him with a bare cupboard like Mack?
  15. No matter how shitty Texas football has been the last decade I'm thankful we're not as shitty as Nebraska. They've been irrelevant in the Big 10 and their last three seasons have been worse than 3 years of Texas football under Charlie.
  16. Chad replied to Hagbard Celine's topic in Football
Texas already has problems with OU going 7-14 in that series the last two decades. It would make perfect sense to hire a guy that has dropped 7 consecutive games to his rival to buck that trend. I like Mike Leach, I really do. He's made two shitty schools competitive consistently, but he's only delivered two out of the ordinary seasons his entire 18 year coaching career precisely a decade apart from each other. Any of y'all that are pining for Leach to coach Texas should refrain from taking PCP and posting.
  17. I'm sure the aggy will be eager to put a spin on being destroyed by LSU. They won't be humbled, they'll chalk it up as a moral victory losing to their third #1 opponent playing the toughest schedule of all time. Clemson smashed them, Bama kicked their ass up one side of the field and down the other......LSU will surely win by 20+. Is Leon still starting at safety or is he riding the pine? If Leon is starting Burrow will pick his sorry ass apart.
  18. Oh, the guy with the crazy hair? Don't know much about him.
  19. Hahahaha! Why the fuck would Kyle Shanahan be interested in the Texas job? That's nothing more than trolling and it's not even good trolling. He's coached in the NFL his entire career and presently coaches the clear favorite to win the NFC. Who was the last successful NFL Coach to head back to the college ranks? Saban returned to the NCAA, but he was in danger of losing his job and didn't exactly light the NFL on fire.

Never thought I'd see the day an NFL QB passes for 3,000 yards and rushes for 1,000. Lamar is a lock unless he suffers an injury. Michael Vick did break 1,000 yards rushing once, but that season he didn't sniff 3,000 passing yards. Lamar for MVP!
