  1. So we're getting rid of a bunch of workers who aren't reported because they're undocumented, which should theoretically create a market where unemployed legal residents and citizens who are reported now have more jobs available to find. So reported unemployment would only possibly go down as the undocumented were never reported as employed and now there are jobs for some of the previously reported unemployed workers to take. But that's why the jobs report will look bad because reasons. Have to hand it to them, they realized that Fox viewers will really believe anything they're told to believe.
  2. Big winner in that to me is the videographer. If the background info is correct (and I have no reason right now to believe that it's not), the guy taking the video saw the guy talking shit, warned him he better stop, let the guy he was harassing beat the shit out of him, then snapped that guy out of it once he started the head kicks. American of the Day, imo.
  3. They are dumb enough to think that never having to face consequences will extend from the politicians and billionaires they love to themselves.
  4. This is a terrible take, or you just plain missed the Super Bowl XLI (2006 season / February 2007) halftime in Miami.
  5. These people are so stupid they live in a world where "I refuse to expand my horizons" is a badge of honor. They don't want to learn and they think wanting to learn about new perspectives, cultures, and ideas is a bad thing. They are happy to be ignorant, in fact it's their preferred state.
  6. Eh I'm as forgiving as anyone for when fighting words lead to getting your ass whooped, but the head kicks when he was on the ground might be an issue. But overall, as Brisket likes to say, a good defense to plant in a jury's head is "did the other guy deserve to get his ass beat and was my client the right person to do it?" Answer to both in this case is a resounding yes so I would have no issue with a not guilty verdict.
  7. While I agree with @RomaVicta in theory, that it's immature, his implication that it's something only immature men do is extremely off base. Many women make comments constantly about the attractiveness of famous men and politicians, too, even when that has nothing to do with the trade they're plying.
  8. I like to answer a few times before blocking. Helps me to have somewhere to vent.
  9. There was an election in 2020. Seems like you may have missed it. The only evidence we have of Donald Trump running for reelection versus election is him getting his ass kicked. And that was after 4 years of regular insanity, not the shit they're doing now.
  10. How do we get someone with nominating privileges to nominate Marc Elias for the Nobel Peace Prize?
  11. He would get destroyed in a fair election if they let him run in 2028. The majority of voters like him more in theory than in practice, Americans are just stupid enough to forget that in the 4 years between 2020 and 2024. Years 5-8 of him would get his ass kicked worse than years 1-4 did in 2020. The question is the election.
  12. Huckleberry replied to Derka's topic in Basketball
We talked about this back when he was here. He was very good at coaching a top 25 offense because our oreb% was always high, he clearly focused on that. But that type of offense is ugly to watch, you're basically saying yeah we aren't gonna shoot well but we will grab a bunch of the misses. And that's probably why he's best with second tier guys who are working on their all around games to get to the NBA. Give him an elite point guard and he benefits even more than most because he already coaches the hustle part of offense better than most. I don't know enough about basketball but I would imagine we got frustrated with entry passes always seeming shitty unless we had a savant like Ford because our bigs were focused more on rebounding position than pass receiving position.
  13. Partially, except the key difference is his second requirement that the majority of people agree to use a specific currency has already been accomplished with those. And for those of us lucky to have lived in the United States pre-Trump destruction, we enjoyed a world where our particular fiat currency wasn't just agreed upon within our nation, but it was the world's primary reserve currency. How much longer that lasts we don't know.
  14. Well that and God causes more abortions than all humans on the planet combined (miscarriages).
  15. One of them believes in the Abrahamic God and one doesn't, so that would make it very obvious if you wereactually a serious person.
  16. Can you name any presidents who have stated that maybe people shouldn't have guns?
  17. Apparently a bunch of layoffs at the Post today, they shut down their sports department. Now if they don't still work and pay to get her back home there's an issue obviously, but this might be a genuine layoff.
  18. Correct, and if you watch the full video the only people who would consider any of the kids to have done anything disproportionate are dipshit MAGAts. Hence my comment about getting the right jury.
  19. Nothing like telling the world you're so stupid you thought Trump would bring stability and not racial demonization of immigrants.
  20. If I'm reasonably concerned for my or another's physical well-being I can use deadly force if I believe that they may be using unlawful deadly force. A grown ass man getting out of his truck on his own then approaching and beating on a teenage girl is unlawful deadly force if I'm on a jury. Especially if I release him and just let him walk back to his vehicle when the threat is over. But key point there is you better get the right jury.
  21. I would have asked why the fuck they called you Brisket.
  22. While I wish they would listen to me about everything, pretty happy this is the one thing that might have actually made it to Bellmont for implementation.
  23. Somebody should start a movement to let AI draw congressional maps using only population location as input data (no historical election or demographic data) and only allowed to use major geographical features like rivers, roads, and city/county lines as dividers. Watch some heads explode on both sides.
  24. While your username checks out wonderfully, in one particular case pictured above they're defacing a national symbol with a pro sports logo which is always irritating.
