we did that when it rained. Had never even heard of The Hitting Academy - just looked it up. Where the heck is everyone going to park for tryouts? that place is tiny.
tater salad is now in the transfer portal. I assume if Fields is granted immediate eligibility you can look for tater to Texas State or some such destination.
Caesar's has the Astros winning the AL West by 14 games if you believe their O/U #'s for everyone. If that is the case, you keep your powder dry until you need it for the late season acquisition before the playoff run.
CHK has pretty much only been selling assets over the past few years to try and reduce the debt monster left by the old regime, so this is uncharted territory for the new regime.
well the wife loves The Gage. But I would like to try out Lajitas Resort. She went on a girls trip there and loved it as well.
What I don't like about staying at The Gage or far from the park is that it pretty much keeps you from eating at Starlight or pounding drinks in Terlingua or at La Kiva, etc. Way too far a drive back to Marathon after dinner/drinks.
this now has my interest

lots of interesting airbnb rentals out there.
we've stayed in Marathon at The Gage and driven in the park each day. Other options that are a lot closer would be Lajitas Resort or Cibilo Creek Ranch
watched Hell or High Water last night. Very much enjoyed it. Nominated for four Academy awards including best picture. Jeff Bridges was great as a crotchety Texas Ranger (basically recreated his Rooster Cogburn role in modern day). Fun movie.
This is like in high school basketball when the freshmen come in cocky and the varsity players say “ok let’s play a pick up game and see what you got “
as mentioned earlier - this is a fabulous album. WIth a great track list.

I'll probably get roasted for this, but I still love Scenes from an Italian Restaurant...of course I think a lot of that has do with that album playing the night in high school when a certain girl acquiesced to young Maroon's charm and waived him around third to home plate.
FIL just got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Hasn't yet seen an oncologist to find out his life expectancy, but at 85 yrs old I'm thinking it ca't be long. Going in a month to see him for Christmas. Sort of expect it's the last time we will see him alive.
when our kids were younger my wife and her Mom spent a week in Paris. One day she took the kids to Disney. Best day ever - we no longer had to spend the time and serious cash to take them to Disney in Orlando. It was well worth that one day.
