Just changed our lodging for our ski trip to Breckenridge from Dillon. Condo is a bit smaller but it is 5 minutes from main street and there sure as hell is more to do in Breckenridge vs Dillon. This is despite the fact that we are NOT skiing Breck. We are skiing A-Basin and probably Copper. Yes, I know, Dillon would have been more convenient but aside from the convenience, no real reason to stay in Dillon. AND we're paying less. Now we'll also have access to a hot tub and pool which we did not have in Dillon. Now... if any of y'all have access to getting discounted tickets at Breckenridge. ahahahahahahahahahahahaha just kidding. Their "book in advance and save" tickets are like $200/day. Hilarious. Discounted passes through Epic pass holders are equally funny. The whole system is so stupid. At least our A-Basin tix came out to about $80/day for three days for crappy snow vs $200/day for crappy snow.
I opened this thread thinking it was posted about this year's performance and all I saw was a bunch of whining and then I realized it was from several years ago. Some things never change. LOL
We're about to go back to the Asheville area and I was thinking, maybe we should check out The Biltmore. Then I realized that a one-day pass during low season costs MORE than a one-year unlimited pass to, as you mentioned, Versailles. That's ludicrous for a family of four. I'll pass and for the cost of one ticket, go "near" The Biltmore and get something from here - https://edarhyne.com/
55" - 70" base at a dinky resort in North Carolina while CO suffers. Blaaaah. It was fun to sit and watch the webcam and watch a bunch of young skiers pull off clean 360s off the lip in the mountain's "black diamond" run.
Should have taken pics - made four personal sized pizzas last night on the Koda. 2 were basic margherita, one was topped with lomo serrano and the last one I pulled out of the oven and topped with a burrata in the middle and surrounded it with mortadella. It was so good.
