If Urban is indeed out, why did he let this shit show drag on for weeks? He could of said a long time ago that he wasn’t interested in coaching again. Looks to me like CDC and UT swung for the fences and came up short.
Agree. We have heard numerous times it’s a done deal just working out the details. We all got hard and couldn’t wait for the announcement. No we hear it’s a no and we all inch up to the ledge. I’m not done on Urban yet.
I agree with every bit of this. I have twin seniors that got eliminated last Friday in 3A. One of em fractured his thumb and jacked up some tendons. He still played after the break because he knew they probably wouldn’t advance and that was gonna be his final HS football game, probably his last FB game ever. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to be a senior and get eliminated based off of one loose cannon. Not to mention, those kids didn’t know from week to week what Covid was going to due to their schedule or their season. Sucks for those players to go out like that.
This is what I'm thinking. CDC has no reason to comply with Tom's demands. Tom can't quit; he'd lose his buyout. So Tom is the coach until CDC is ready to fire him. In the meantime, CDC doesn't need to meet with Tom, answer his phone calls, or get drawn into drama. Tom can do his job until CDC has a replacement ready.
This is my thought too. Mensa getting let go will happen exactly as CDC wants it to happen.
