Burger Tex was on the drag in that location, next to Antone's Records, at least from the early 90s. I used to play golf at Onion Creek with one of the owners back then. Nice guy. Couldn't putt for shit though.
I put my order in just afternoon midnight Wednesday/Thursday for pickup yesterday. The wait in the line of cars down E. 11th to pick up was like an hour long. And they weren't handing out free Lone Star. Still delicious though.

LSU insider just crystal balled Caleb Williams to Oklahoma. 👀 If Williams does go to OU Lincoln Riley is a 🐐 imagine losing a commitment from a 5⭐️ QB then going out & getting an even higher rated 5⭐️ QB & this after getting the 5⭐️ 2019 #1 QB.
Are you sure about that? I had to "opt in" to the new payment system and send them a check for $150. It was crystal clear from the email and mailing I received that if you wanted to cancel your contract you just didn't send them $150.
In fact, here's the email I received that required you to sign a new agreement. Did you sign a new agreement AND send them a $150 payment and now you want a refund?
Valuations are, in theory, as of January 1. In other words, before the shit hit the fan. So commercial valuations, in theory, should be increased. I went ahead and paid ProTax the 150 for my house on the bet that they wouldn’t have as many clients this year since the Tax Assessor said they would keep everything at last year’s values.
And yeah. If your tax value was below your market value last year, you’re going up. Which is another reason the protest.
COMING APRIL 13!
Pull up a bar stool, Austin. Jeff Ward is back.
Beginning April 13, the longtime local talk-radio host is returning to the conversation with “The
Jeff Ward Show” — airing live weekdays, 9 a.m. to noon, on the new Statesman News Network.
“I don’t cheer for political parties. In fact, I spend a great deal of time ripping them,” says Ward.
“I’m an Austin guy who likes to talk about Austin stuff.”

Yeah. That one on the Drag and the one in Oak Hill (where Via Pizza is now) were our typical go-tos. When they closed we'd occasionally venture north to the one on Airport. It wasn't quite the same, and that space was gross. That whole building probably is being held together by spilled beer from upstairs.
Roberts was the deciding vote in the Texas case that was more or less the same as this new case from Louisiana. Are you saying that was the wrong choice?
Got it. I misunderstood your original point and thought you were questioning his position on the case in question. Lo siento. As a lawyer (not an appelate or trial lawyer, but a Con Law nerd and AmJur recipient lol) I still feel like Schumer was way out of line (as is Trump when he goes off on judges and justices).
So should he have not responded to a leader in another branch of the government? I’m mean that’s a fair comment if that’s your point. Was that it? Roberts for all his faults has tried to maintain the decorum and public non partisanship of the Court. He’s not responsible for Kavanaugh or Gorsuch being appointed (or Sotomayor who was also a political appointment like Kavanaugh).
