  1. 3rd floodgate just opened at Buchanan
  2. LCRA has dropped Lake LBJ over 1.5' in the last 12 hours. That's more than they dropped it on the 4th. Wonder if they are planning on starting to release water from Buchanan.
  3. Gives new meaning to six to midnight
  4. Travis went over 660' at 5:50am this morning according to the LCRA River Operations Report page. Gates are still open at Wirtz and Starke so should continue to rise. *Edit to ask: Anyone know what level sometimes islands are covered? Been so long I don't remember.
  5. We would hit up Waterloo Brewing Co. some afternoons when we were slow at work. Stars Wars Pinball and a few pints of Ed's Best Bitter. God Bless you and RIP, Steve Anderson.
  6. Chuch-e-Cheese used to sell beer too. Made the kids birthday parties much more enjoyable back in the day (way back in the day). No idea if they still do as I haven't stepped foot in one since the early aughts. But a few beers and some Stargate and Joust sounds like a really, really good time.
  7. Yeah Post-Covid it was a shell of itself. But it begat some damn good restaurants. Jack Allen's, Salt Trader, Day Maker, Odd Duck, Barley Swine, and Sour Duck. And related Turf n Surf. For those of us who arrived in Austin the 80s, ZTejas was the tits+.
  8. Pop Up Shower in the 78657 RIGHT NOW!
  9. well that was a Dolly Parton size epic bust
  10. *Edit: Just noticed that Radarscope hasn't changed the name of the Radar from Ft. Cavazos. #Resist

Same person that owns Sawyer & Co owns De Nada. And it may be gringo, but it's damn good. As are their mezcal drinks.
  13. Does this mean Ann Margaret’s not coming?
  14. Lots of lightning, thunder and wind at LBJ (big white caps). Not much rain yet.
  15. Those rings look fantastic. Donde?

    Jewboy ftw
  17. Twas just a joke. Like the reply you would get if you went to Poodies and asked for a Sour or a Milk Stout
  18. No. And they don't have French Fries either. You gonna order something or what?

you didn't get tater tot casserole?
  21. I'm surprised they don't have backup generators to run their refrigerators and freezers. I know several grocery stores in coastal areas do because of hurricanes. Guess it's cost prohibitive if inland.

Mentioned it earlier this week, but there's a new-ish bbq trailer in Cottonwood Shores at the Fresh AF Park called Mythic BBQ. Covered patio for seating. Brisket, turkey and pork belly burnt ends were outstanding, as was the very spicy chipotle slaw.
  23. This is a peak off-season argument

if you're out in the Lake LBJ area this weekend, hit up Mythic BBQ in Cottonwood Shores. Great traditional brisket, sausage and turkey. And chipotle cole slaw was fire. Special this weekend was pineapple glazed pork belly which was incredible. http://www.mythicbarbecue.com/
